We visited the RiverGrille on the way up to Jacksonville from Orlando because we got hungry and felt like we wanted seafood. Saw the signs and then saw the reviews and said we have to try it out. Glad we did because the food and service was so good we came back on our way back to Orlando 4 days later. We had the River Bluff combo on both occasions and it was fantastic. Great views while sitting outside on the deck and a nice breeze to keep you cool. If you go you definitely won’t regret it. We had 4 different appetizers and my favorite was the Mahi fingers… absolutely the tastiest. Check out these great pictures.
Wonderful place. We stopped in and I had the stuffed flounder… excellent! My husband ordered their special: Cajun prime rib sandwich… it was a whole piece of prime rib on a bun! It was so good, I’m a little jealous I didn’t order it!!!! Definitely will be back!
Great view of the river and good vibe but the food is blah. We've been coming here for several years and the food has gone DOWN hill but the view remains great. We go here now for drinks and a light app but not the food. Maybe things will change but we eat elsewhere these days.
First visit to River Grille and we loved it. Went for a late lunch around 2pm and it was nice and quiet. The outside deck was actually nice and shaded for being mid afternoon. Food was delicious and very reasonably priced. There were so many items on the menu that sounded amazing. Can't wait to go back and try some more!
We went with our daughter in law and her parents for a birthday lunch. We had to wait for a seat inside as it was too hot for us to want to sit inside but we were seated pretty quickly. There are different choices to pick from and several ways to have the food cooked. Al of the food was delicious but really enjoyed the cheese curds for an app. If you get any fried food the batter is very fine and you can really enjoy the taste of the food. Apparently food used to automatically come with hush puppies but no more. Our waitress was very attentive. Prices are on par with other local places. Restaurant sits right on the Tomoka River. There is plenty of parking.
We met friends for lunch while visiting Ormond Beach... The ribs were delicious! The pulled pork great! Fish tacos yummy! BUT.... THE SUNSHINE CAKE IS WORTH EVERY SINGLE CALORIE AND GRAM OF SUGAR!!!!! We will definitely be back next time we visit Ormond!
The atmosphere and ambiance are great, with outdoor seating right on the water. It's casual, yet very beautiful. It would be a great place to take a first date. The service was very friendy and efficient. The food was decent, but not great. They offer one vegetarian entree, the beyond burger. As a vegetarian, I'm not a big fan of restaurants that only have one token meal option. They do have a huge variety of seafood. My husband got the fish, which he said was good. The fries were tasty. The prices are very reasonable, especially given the view.
My wife got a salad to go with her catfish dinner and halfway thru eating her salad she found a "3-inch" curved wire in her fork from the salad. She could of swallowed the wire and could of died from this. It was given to our waitress who in turn showed it to the kitchen manager and she told us that this item that was found is used with the served seafood. From this, they took the salad off our bill. When I got a refill of my iced tea, I noticed something causing a shadow at the bottom of my glass. Showed it to my wife, got the item out with my straw and found that it was a piece of a paper napkin. Not sure how that happened, maybe I got a dirty glass originally. My wife and I have eaten there before and always had great food and service with no issues. Not this time! Be careful when eating there. Check your food and drink before partaking your food.
Great views and even better food. Second time coming to the River Grill, been each time we’ve been in the Daytona/Ormond Beach area. Ordered the stuffed flounder and wasn’t disappointed. Our hostess was super nice and explained everything on the menu very well. We came around 4 usually when dinner rush starts and didn’t have to wait long even after specifically asking for outside deck seating.Worth the wait and the prices for sure.
I wish I had discovered this place years ago. Lots of decks at different levels overlooking the water. We got 1 of 3 special tables in its own gazebo alone. The food was delicious. The employees were all nice. After eating we went out on the docks for photos. The decor inside is awesome also.
