Great Lunch, I had the Lunch California Burrito with steak and unsweetened ice tea. Awesome friendly service.
Best Mexican food. Service was great. Highly recommend trying it if you haven't already. We loved how fresh and unique the dishes were . Ceviche was amazing and full of flavor
Amazing is how my wife described the three sauce Grilled chicken La Bandero Super Burrito and I had the Steak Ranchero dressed in Mild Chile Salsa with rice and beans. Everything tastes like an ancient recipe from some lucky chef's abuela. Delicious doesn't cover the epic taste. The service was great and food was fast since we caught the early evening 7pm crowd. Our excellent waitress kept our drinks topped till the end. Family friendly place and today's weather was perfect for the outdoor seating. Please add one more scoop each of rice and beans to the Steak Ranchero, por favor!
Great food in a bright, clean restaurant. Booth and table seating inside and out. My go-to, hands down favorite is the beef tips chimichanga! They have very good iced tea (and plenty of alcoholic Mexican favorites). They serve the regular salsa with chips when you arrive. If you ask, they will bring their smoky, hot salsa; it WILL get your attention. It's a fun place to meet for a fast, flavorful, filling meal that won't break your budget. The only challenge is accessing the parking lot if you are westbound on Granada Blvd (you have to make a U-turn that can take a minute). A better play is to go up to the traffic light at WaWa and then make your way back to the restaurant.
I lived in Ajijic, Mexico, outside of Guadalajara, for 2 years and this was one of the best Mexican restaurant experiences I've had in the states. Carla was a great waitress but so were the rest of the staff I interacted with. They have happy hour and lunch specials, they have molcajetes, indoor and outdoor seating, couldn't ask for more.Mazatlan quesadilla (shrimp, fish, and crab) might be the best quesadilla I've had. Salsa was super fresh and delicious, and the grilled pineapple margarita was excellent.I will definitely return if I'm ever in the area.
The refried beans are the best we’ve ever had.The grilled shrimp is greatAuthentic flavor. The tamales are great, but maybe too much masaThis is not a chain restaurant for sure and a very big plus. This rates as number two in the Daytona Beach area for us nowNext time I will try anything shrimp for sure
We were riding around looking for some yummy Mexican food. All the (terrible) reviews of other Mexican restaurants had us almost changing our minds! We saw La Catrina from the road and decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did! The food was AMAZING! we haven't had Mexican food that good in a long time. The service was great as well! Definitely give this one a try because you won't regret it!
The food was good. I got the Pollo con Mole, which is chicken in a spiced brown sauce made with chocolate. It was delicious. It comes with tortillas if you ask for them. The guacamole was fresh, and mashed in a chunky style. The salsa was not spicy at all, but you can always ask for hot sauce.
This place is special. We have eaten here twice in this vacation because the food is amazing and the portions will leave you fully satisfied. This is not your typical run of the mill cheap Mexican food. Everything we ordered was truly special and delicious.
I don’t know why this restaurant has so many stars. The service was just “okay”, but more importantly the food was gross. I’ve grown up eating Mexican food my whole life from many various restaurants around the country and this was by far the worst I’ve ever eaten. The only thing I can say that tasted really good was the guacamole. It was delicious. I’d never go back.
