Where in the world does a little "hole in the wall" pizzeria end up with such awesome pies? When we walked in we saw a bunch of youngsters and were afraid we would end up with a "Hot Pocket" experience. It was just the opposite. Their pizza was delicious. We had sausage, pepperoni and mushroom. The sausage was in large chunks and very tasty. Perfect amount of cheese and a homemade sauce. If you've missed GOOD pizza, stop by Genovese's. You won't be disappointed.
We were staying in Ormond on the beach and were looking for a good pizza - we are Floridians now but our roots run deep in NY and very picky about our pizza - we googled this place, read the reviews and said, yes this is the one - drove up to pick up our called in pizza and it was packed on a Monday night with all the locals! Thats how you know its good! We wanted to stay and eat more!!! The pizza was great- and the menu had all the traditional favorites. As we walked by the tables, I saw more lasagna ordered than anything and I thought - well it must be good if all these people are ordering it! Will go back for sure!
Wow! I know we gotta eat to survive, but it's such a bonus when you ENJOY the meal! Very busy place (every table was full) but well worth the wait. Everything tasted fresh, well seasoned and surpassed my expectations! Food that's as visually pleasing as it is delicious, that's a thing to be appreciated! Service was friendly and attentive in spite of how busy they were. Really took care of every table. I watched the front end manager greet, help serve and check on every table in the building. I also had a view of the kitchen from my seat and from my vantage point, I witnessed cooks wearing gloves and washing hands and servers disinfecting tables (with a bleach-based cleanser that I totally appreciate) between customers. If you're still concerned with dine-in facilities, friends lemme tell you, they've got to-go so don't deprive yourself of this little gem! It was an accident I ended up here but I'm so glad I did. I'll be going back purposefully next time. Portions were huge and prices weren't! Only problem..... it's hard to decide between the cannoli or tiramisu... so I just got both! Problem solved!
Just a little restaurant in a strip mall, but the food was amazing. We each had a stromboli, and they were amazing...delicious fillings and a crispy, crunch dough! We had an early dinner, and by the time we left there was a line! If you're in the area, definitely try it for delicious Italian food!
This pasta ? dish was so delicious ? ? I had called Frutti Di Mare Mussels ,Clams & Shrimp ? . And there twice delicious food great stuff.1st time there but highly Recommend them. Amazing Italian food.Having there amazing soups? it very delicious ?
Meat Stromboli was delicious. Stuffed to the edges with meat and mozzarella, and something about the sausage was amazing.Staff was very friendly and despite being quite busy, the food was delivered quickly.Can't wait to eat here again!
Just want to give a big ole negative shout out to Genovese In Ormond. For the second time they messed up my togo order. Called in and the little girl at the counter who talks to you like you are a child kept telling me no manager was available. Finally one answered and no sorry, we will refund you and hung up. Took the entire order back and a wonderful manager came out and wanted to know what happened, explained and he said smile a mistake was made. Of course at this point I told him a few good things to which he replied to get out of his restaurant and bye bye! Ok, don’t worry will never be back! I hope others will not as well, treat people like this will end your successful business. Good luck!
They where extremely busy when we went in but they were quick to greet us and get us taken care of. We got 3 pizzas including one vegan. Really appreciate them having that option. Everyone was very happy with the meal.
Love their pizza crust. Along with interesting topping combos. Friendly service. Decent wine selection. Not a big place but I am sure they can accomodate a larger group.
Genovese's was absolutely amazing!! We were seated in a timely manner, and a server met us very quickly. She was super sweet and had a warm feeling right off the bat, she brought our drinks right away. While we were waiting for our food we realized we were in the middle of a family emergency and at the height of it all our pizza arrived, the gentleman and our server helped us get a box and completely handle our situation and didn't skip one beat they were absolutely amazing. Couldn't ask for any more! Was the best service I have had in years and they are just good genuine people and deserve a lot of love!!
