The place was about dead when we arrived a bit before 5 on a Saturday in the summer. Assumed it would be busier. Took a while for our server to get to us bc…who knows????? When he did, then things seemed to be rolling pretty well. The suizas were good but don’t get chicken. Stringy and tough. Ground beef was so much better. The chicken relleno was interesting as the chicken in this dish was tough, in fact the outer rim was hard. The stuffing inside the chicken was good and tasty though. The tamale was very good and the stuffed poblano was out of this world. The beans were good as well. Salsa is a bit different than any other Mexican restaurant that I have been to but it grew on me. Would have liked better service and chicken to be more tender. Visiting from out of town, so we will see if we come back. Want to try a few others while in town.
Went there for lunch. Wife had tacos and I had tamales. My food was bland. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t great. I asked for spicy salsa and got a carbonated yellow salsa. Not sure if they actually carbonated it but me and my wife think they might have used club soda in the making of it. It was not that good.
This order must’ve been sitting around for a long time because it wasn’t even warm. My tacos were sitting around for so long and were so soggy that they fell apart when I picked them up.I’d just like to let you know that I had an extremely unsatisfactory meal that was delivered to me. I called the restaurant and asked to speak with the manager. I spoke with Carla who told me that I had to contact DoorDash. Apparently Frida’s staff doesn’t understand a schedule ahead order. I Ordered on DoorDash at probably around 6:30ish and scheduled my order for 8:20.I got the order a little bit before 8:20 which was fine. However the food had been prepared when the order was received and sat around until delivery. Our meals weren’t even warm. My tacos were so soggy that when I picked them up they fell apart so I have a tinfoil plate of mush that I can’t even reheat because there are hot and cold items contained in it. The fajita burrito was ice cold. I told the manager I wanted my money back and she told me to contact DoorDash. I live about 3 miles from the restaurant and the app told me when it was picked up and when it was delivered and that was less than 10 minutes. The food did not get cold and soggy in that amount of time. Being dismissed by the manager Carla is almost as bad. She told me to come down there and they will remake the order. I explained to her that if I had the ability to go down there I would not have ordered delivery. A really really awful meal! frankly I’m just looking at it because it’s inedible, if I put it into the microwave somehow it’ll just turn to mush. Completely unacceptable for a place with these ratings.Also, the dish is very different than what’s on the menu.Cross this off your list if you’re looking for delivery!! Love the new menu for this location. Ensure to ask for extra mole and house hot sauce. The meals were cooked very well, excellent service. Chili Verde and enchiladas are a hit for sure. Definitely will make another visit to explore the menu. Only down side for me was no Medelo negra on tap , but had especial so not a complete upset.
Great food, amazing value. The amount of great food for the price is rare on this age. We all enjoyed it and will definitely be back when we're in the area. Staff was great as well.
The murals are only upstaged by the food! Frida’s is a beautiful, clean and colorful restaurant with friendly service and even better food. We ordered off the lunch menu and were pleasantly surprised by the ample portions and delicious food.

We stumbled on this place on a Taco Tuesday and we were hooked, going back again the following Tuesday. The tacos are really unique and you can’t beat the specials prices. The margarita flight is a nice add-on to complete the experience.
Taco Tuesday celebration. GET THE TRIPPLE D's WITH BARBACOA AND YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED. It was my birthday and the waitress brought out a little caramel flan with a candle in it, how cute. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was enjoyable.
