We used to go here for fine dining and small celebrations. It is no longer a special place. The mahi that I ordered was overcooked and dry. The green beans were straight out of a can. My husband however, did enjoy his filet mignon. We ordered coffee and dessert. By the time our dessert arrived, our second cup of coffee had gotten cold. It shouldn’t take that long to bring dessert. They are already prepared and just need a dab of whipped cream before bringing out. Don’t know what took so long. It was also so noisy that we couldn’t hear the background music or have a quiet conversation. We are very disappointed.
Really good food and atmosphere. The blackened prime rib was excellent.
Horrible experience! We made reservations, arrived 15 minutes early, and it still too 2 hours to get our food! People we arriving after us that were served and were finished before we even got our soups and salads. The food was cold, the butter wouldn't even melt on the baked potato, undercooked steak almost raw supposed to be medium, and never once did our waitress ask me or the other people in our party if we wanted refills on our sodas and tea. My husband had to walk to the bar himself to order another cocktail. Extremely expensive, especially for the service we received! The shrimp was horrible and made me sick all night. We will never come back here again. Huge waste of money and time. I expected better considering its been open for many years. We were very disappointed.
Great dinner, salmon and gnocchi! My wife had Mahi also George, also delicious!Christina our waitress was efficient and very accommodating. Taproom is a great nostalgiac place, lots of memorabilia. John Rockefeller used to eat here. It's 100 yrs old this year. Definitely worth the trip.
French onion soup was excellent. Kitchen needs to be supervised closer in cooking entree meats. Server was very good and knowledgeable. Place was very clean and appeared well managed.
We love Billy's Tap Room! Such a great place. Food and service are excellent. Our server, Michelle, was very personable, helpful, and efficient. It was St Patrick's Day so they were slammed but we were seated quickly and Michelle was unfazed by being so busy. Definitely recommend Billy's Tap Room!
Absolutely amazing food and the service was impeccable. Patrick, our waiter was beyond exceptional. My salmon was perfect, the prime rib was great, and the ribs ?. We were welcomed and thanked for choosing to dine at their establishment. 10/10 Bike week 2022
Got so lucky! A cancelled/late reservation led to my wife and I getting a table as soon as we walked in thanks to Lilian. LuAnne rocked juggling bar tender duty and keeping our drinks full. I had the prime rib with two pints of Guinness and my wife had the mahi mahi special. We ended with the fresh made cheesecake. Truly excellent dining experience. Don't come here I want this place all to myself!
We came here about a year ago to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We love prime rib and the food was absolutely delicious. This past Saturday my wife and I, along with 2 other couples, came here to celebrate my wife’s retirement. When we went to order prime rib we were told they do not have any. When I told the owner that the party of 6 in our group came to eat prime rib dinner, he told me the next time I make reservations we need to reserve the prime rib ahead of time. 3 of us settled for steak and it was a big disappointment. Steak had a good taste but it was very dry and not tender. Service was poor and took over an hour to be served with the entree. The 6 of us won’t be back. Amazing how things change in less than a year.
Very, very disappointed with our evening at this restaurant. It was highly recommended, but failed at almost everything . We had a reservation for 7pm, we were seated promptly and then saw nobody from the restaurant for almost 30 minutes. It was an hour before we had soup and salads. The entrees were eventually served in a haphazard manner. The food was barely warm enough to eat, the fresh vegetable was clearly out of a can. The baked potatoes were like rocks, and cold. My French fries didn't arrive with my main course, when they did, they were cold. Another serving arrived when I had finished my main course. Our server was apologetic and did not charge us for 3 of our drinks.All on all, a very poor dining experience.
