Unfortunately, this place isn’t authentically Cuban, more like “Cuban inspired comfort food” if you want to be generous. I ordered the Pan con Bistec and Cuban Sandwich. They should be embarrassed to call what they serve here by those names. While the taste wasn’t TERRIBLE— I was shocked by the sandwiches both being more bread than anything. The pan con bistec consisted of the thinnest piece of steak I’ve ever seen, even thinner than a minute steak. And the Cuban sandwich was just pathetic…one slice of ham and one sparsely spread layer of pork. They have to be making a killing on their customers by making their portions so tiny. Not even at the cheapest Cuban ventanita in south Florida would you be so insulted by the portions— and this place is NOT cheap. Another sign that they are not authentic is that they refer to their cheese pastelito as a “quesito”…. I’m not sure what Cuban would ever do that. I would rather drive 3.5 hours south than ever eat here again.
I love this location. They have great customer service and everyone is super nice, but on top of that I never have to worry about my food quality. I’m a vegetarian and restaurants constantly give me meat by accident. Zazas has never gotten my order wrong, or cross contaminated at all. I eat here at least once a week so I figured at this point they deserve a review from me.
Went here on a Monday night two hours before closing is was relatively busy but then got our food out in less then 20 minutes which was good. The Cafe con leche was delicious and perfect temperature. I ordered the bistec sandwich and it was very taste. The onions added a great taste and the bread had garlic and it was very good. The fries were fresh and crunchy. The only complaint I have is the there were multiple previously used tables that were dirty with dirty dishes but that was probably due to a staffing issue. Other than that I would definitely recommend and I will be coming back
I ordered the Cuban Grilled Cheese just because I wasn’t too hungry and I love grilled cheese. On the menu it says “lots of cheese on a buttered bread melted…” Wow! What a joke! The tiny bread, the cheese was only in the center and the bread corners were empty. Forget about the melted cheese. And no butter at all! Unbelievable!
Ordered a Cuban sandwich Guava pastry and tostones. Pastry was okay. Sandwich was soggy and made like They never made a sandwich before. Tostones we’re harder than my kitchen table burnt to a crisp hard. Will never go back. Horrible
Very polite employee and servers and excellent customer service. Delicious food and fresh ! Highly recommend
I’ve been here and every time I go it’s always the same the service is not that great they’re always too busy to come to the counter. Yesterday I went and I was charged $7.50 for an orange juice that the girl says it’s because it was fresh but yet she pulled it out of the fridge already done in a cup and it tasted so sour and nasty like a dollar store orange juice. The pastries are always overcooked and burnt. The guava and cheese was so burnt that the insides were missing and everything was outside of the pastry. I won’t be going to this location anymore
One of my favorite places to eat fast Spanish food has lost its grip on quality. The vaca frita which was never really vaca frita but was awesome is 100% not the same and congris is dry and old. I’m rooting for you guys but please don’t cut down on your food cost to sacrifice food quality. Maybe your growth has affected your quality. What got you guys to the top won’t keep your there. Sad day today in east Orlando.
Excellent food and great coffee! Take a bag home for sure. They will grind it to your preference in shop if you ask and it makes excellent press coffee.
They were out of the vaca frita. Ended up with the ropa vieja. White rice was hard (undercooked). The plantains were burnt. The ropa vieja was salty. Small space, crowded with very few tables and it was very dirty/messy. The quesitos were burnt - I mean it was just a very bad experience.
