Different type of dining experience. Love that they'll yell at you for using your phone and you have to ask for Ketchup. We had 2 types of skillets. The traditional and the pig. Both were amazing and the vegetables were great too. Especially the smashed potatoes. Highly recommend for a family.
I love Wilderness Lodge but not this restaurant. We didn’t like it years ago but thought we’d give it a try again. Got the all you can eat skillet. Chicken was pretty good, ribs were just okay, brisket (was that brisket?) was positively the worst I’ve ever had. Skillet came out barely warm. We did ask for the extra we ordered to be hot and it came out hot. Cornbread was Walmart quality. Won’t be giving my money here again. Service was great though.
Overall terrible experience. They were running an hour behind our reservation time. The food came out cold. Terrible server. The orange juice and apple juice is watered down. The servers did not joke with us like they do with others. It’s Mother’s Day. I wanted a nice Mother’s Day breakfast before leaving today. I saw all of these mothers getting flowers. I did not. Our server finally brought us the check. We waited on him to come back and he didn’t. Tried to check out at the front and couldn’t. We had to stand there and wait. Soon after I went to the bathroom in tears bc we tried telling a couple of workers about our experience and no empathy whatsoever. We will never eat there again!! I suppose happy Mother’s Day to me. Oh and we were wearing celebratory pin for our new engagement. Nothing was said. I am hurt and very disappointed as to this was the only reservation we had during our stay at Wilderness Lodge. Our server was a person Named Christian. Two hours of terrible service!
Oh my goodness, this place is amazing and to be honest we only went to experience The Wilderness Lodge. While there we were not hungry so only ordered the Traditional Skillet to be shared between me and my hubby. Well thank goodness we weren't hungry as this meal was really only enough for one adult. Still I tasted everything and couldn't distinguish between the chicken, pork sausage or ribs. It all tasted the same. The corn bread was really good but too crumbly. The Whispering Canyon House Salad I ordered was one of the best I've had in a long time. So cudoos to that. If I'm ever in the Orlando area I would go back for the salad and for our waiter Chris. He was such a delight to speak with. He's been working at Disney for over 40 years and 20 of those years he's been working at the Whispering Canyon Cafe. He was cheery and accommodating. Chirs is a really good waiter and really sweet guy. I hope Disney gives him some kind of recognition for his loyalty as a great employee. Maybe give him a great pension to retire with!! Yes he was that delightful.
Don’t go if you aren’t willing to talk a little humor. I have been here twice, once just my wife and I and second with an additional toddler! This is definitely a well theme restraint where the weight staff is just as must the entertainers as they are servers!!! Both times they used good judgement on how engaged we wanted to be in the overall entertainment. We were more spectators while others where in the spot light for fun. The food isn’t much to report on, my endless food plate when asking for additional I didn’t get what I wanted but all in all, it’s a good time.
Love this restaurant. One of Disney's most entertaining dining experiences for everyone. The food is good, a great value for your money and the servers are amazing!
Been coming here for more than 20 years. Never disappoints and the staff is great. Breakfast is solid with some stand outs. Lunch and Dinner are great! For Disney, I think its a great value with memorable service.
After reading of the antics of staff at Whispering Canyon, we knew we wanted our family to enjoy this atmosphere! We were not disappointed. Our waitress was a delight, attentive, and did a great job interacting with and entertaining our kids. We thoroughly enjoyed the corny jokes, delicious cornbread, stick ponies, and audience participation. It was so fun to interact with other families as antics happened to us and around us. The food was delicious! We enjoyed our all-you-can-eat skillets and even enjoyed seconds. We would highly recommend this restaurant to other families!
Amazing food...and great service...make sure you ask for ketchup.
One of the best meals I’ve ever had at a Disney resort and I’m a local and annual passholder. We had just done the runDisney 10 miler and needed some great food to fuel up! The atmosphere was amazing! So fun and entertaining! Will definitely come back!
