I took my daughter here for dinner at 6:30pm on a Friday. I was able to request a reservation online which was approved within 5mins.Promptly greeted and seated. We looked over the menu to help us decide on the wine (good selection!!!) we would go with. Everything we had was phenomenal! We had the brussel sprouts with pomegranate seeds, short ribs with mushroom risotto and charred broccolini, and the mushroom pappardelle.. which was so delicious! Service was on point and we were told about a wine tasting in their Italian marketplace next door.. definitely happy we checked it out after dinner!!
My husband and I went for a late lunch/early dinner during the week after reading rave reviews about this restaurant. The restaurant was almost empty except for a single diner and a table of 6 high schoolers. We ordered the calamari but they were out of it. (I was surprised at this as this is a usual staple of any good Italian kitchen). My husband ordered a sausage pizza which came out with a perfectly thin crust. I ordered the pasta ala vodka at my servers recommendation and she wasn’t wrong. It was aromatic with notes of basil and garlic. My only complaint is for the $18, I wish there was a larger portion. The interior of the restaurant was very nicely decorated with wooden spoons on the walls. Seating for small parties inside and cafe tables available on the exterior overlooking the parking lot.The menu offers the promise of an upscale Italian restaurant with some pasta dishes priced at over $25. But that is where the upscale stopped. The table of high schoolers next to us were loud and were arm wrestling as we tried to enjoy our meal. At one point the kitchen staff ran to the front of the restaurant because another patron was cursing out customers eating outside. A mom, dad and their son came in as we were finishing our meal and they talked at a volume one would use at your own kitchen table vs an upscale eatery.I guess my review is that this is a very good neighborhood pizzeria disguising itself as an upscale restaurant. The food was good but the prices were not in balance with the clientele.
First of all i want to say that our server was great!! If im not wrong his name was Danny and he took great care of us he gave us his time to explain the dishes helped and we enjoyed his conversation. These days it’s hard to find people like him :)) Thank youu Danny!!! And the food was sooooo good we started with the Calamari and they had fried tomatoes and lemons too it was very tasty. We had the bread too it came with olive oil but the bread was a little hard. For the entrees we had the Lasagna and Lobster Stuffed Ravioli Paradiso we love ittttt!! Everything was so flavorful and we enjoyed every piece of it. For dessert we had the bloud orange cake which was FIREEE (i know we eat a lot for two person :D) the cake was soo soft and was melting in your mouth and it wasn’t like “American” cakes it didn’t taste only like you are eating sugar :D. Next time we want to try the pizza there :) Thank you for the great service!!!
Great pizza, tiny seems like family owned place. Knows their dough and cheese. This is pretty close to that crispy crust on the bottom taste with the greasy top and good quality cheese that you may know from New Jersey and New York. Sauce seems like their own, but not as spicy as I woulda liked; but hey, that’s their choice and my tastebuds aren’t yours. Service was okay but short staffed. And the place will close early if they’re not busy. But overall I’d come back.
Small place that fills up fast. No wonder. The good is great, service same! My fedicini Alfredo was perfect and my table mates loved their entrees! I’ll be back!
Amazing customer service from Maria & Amisha. Everything on the menu made from scratch. Absolutely delicious!
I would normally give this restaurant a five star review. However, today, Tuesday at 3:15 in the afternoon we ordered a fettuccine Alfredo and a lasagna for delivery. The lasagna (pictured) was lukewarm and a few of the noodles were undercooked (even for al dente). We have had the lasagna from Tornatore’s before, and it is amazing normally. But, the Alfredo was horrible! I thought it might be bad oil or something from the odor. I called to complain and they sent me a fresh one. After tasting the new delivery, I realize that this is what their fettuccine Alfredo must always taste like. ?Do not order the Fettuccine Alfredo! Either that, or never order on a Tuesday.
No matter werr you come from, if you want authentic Italian food that will leave you 100% satisfied look no further than Tornatore's. I have eaten just about every dish they offer and it is literally a foodgazim in your mouth. Portions are very hearty, the staff is friendly and the owners are here every day that I am. All the food is made from scratch, from their bread to their canollies. Forgive anything I may have misspelled gramercy is not my strong point.
INCREDIBLE!!!! From the outside, unless you're a local resident in the area, you'd easily drive right by if you didn't know what you were looking for. But once inside, it's so perfectly quaint. It's a very cozy, yet elegant little nook. Seating space is limited, so dinnertime can get pretty packed fast! We arrived around 5:30 and were able to be seated immediately, but anything after I suggest making reservations.Everything is made from scratch! From the pasta to their burrata! Yes, you read right - FRESH, HAND MADE CHEESE Y'ALL! SOOOO GOOOD! Everything is so fresh, pasta perfectly al dente, and desserts have just the right amount of sweetness! Our server suggested a great bottle of Valpolicella which we polished off nicely! Haha. Definitely planning on coming back with some friends!
Best Pizza Place in Orlando period! I’ve gone to this place since I was 14 years old and they have improved so much since my first time going. From the pizza to the subs to the ginormous garlic knots, the food here is just delicious. It is a family owned restaurant and they have very high quality Italian food, all made from scratch. The owner and the staff have always been friendly to us. Highly recommend for everybody who loves some good pizza and other Italian options.
