Although Disney Vacation Club members for many years, first time we ate in this restaurant. The food was awesome! I had the best prime rib I've had in any restaurant. My husband had a pasta dish that he really enjoyed. A definite repeat next time we're in Disney!
Visited this restaurant tonight and came away well satisfied. We use to visit TCB&G quite a few times before they closed. One thing we miss is the former pre fixe that was offered. My wife enjoyed the salmon and I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes instead of the sweet potato purée and went away happy. Yacine was our server and he was very attentive and explained many of the items on the menu that we had questions about. We will definitely return soon.
I've never gone here before, even though I'm a DVC owner and this is my home resort. Based on the reviews and the fact that it had recently reopened after COVID-19, I made a decision to try it. Well, it was a so, so experience. It started off really good! I ordered New York Cider-braised Mussels as the appetizer and it was so good. Everything worked well together and the sauce had me soaking my bread in it. Alas, this is were the good ended. For entrées we ordered Grilled Pork Chop and Pan-seared Salmon. The salmon had no flavor and it was overcooked; flavorless. The little flavor it did have came from the sauce, but it was not enough to save the dish. As far as the pork chop, the best part of this plate was the sweet potato purée, tasty. The chop itself was ok. The cannellini beans had the look and consistency of refried beans. They definitely did not look anything like the picture on their website. For dessert we had Mango-Passion Fruit Crème Brûlée. Sounds delicious right? Except we could not taste any mango, passion fruit or much less, the crème brûlée itself. This was because the bottom of the vessel was covered with chocolate syrup; it completely took over the flavor profile. I basically ended up trying to skim whatever I could off the top. It will be a while before I try this restaurant again.
Good food and good service!!
Literally the food and the staff..both are superb.
We have been to Saratoga more times than I can count, but never went to the Turf Club until our last visit. What a surprise! The service was great - we were seated within minutes without a reservation (it was late) - and the food was amazing. We started with the charcuterie board which was plenty to hold off the hunger pains of our three travelers. Next, the entrees. I had the best filet...seriously! Three meals and three happy diners. The food was really good!
My ordered mussels. There were many shells but most were empty and the others had very small mussels. My prime rib end cut had a lot of fat and was VERY salty. Service was fair and not friendly. We won’t be back
After close to 2 years closed, we were so excited it reopened and looking forward to returning. However, the menu changed. The grilled romaine salad is gone as is the Crème Brûlée. The prime rib and filet were ok, but the sides were disappointing. Not the mashed potatoes of before, but a potato ball wrapped in a paper. Then we tried the mango plant based Crème Brûlée. A huge mistake. It was creamy and not the normal consistency. The taste was horrific. DO NOT ORDER THIS. We were told by the manage the chefs wanted to change to something plant based. Why change from a tried and true favorite from years!?!?! We have reservations there for another night which we are cancelling. I do not recommend Turf Club Grill, which is very disappointing to me.
Great food and service. Will visit again
I have to say growing up in Central Florida has its perks. Especially the great amount of Disney property hidden gems. The last time we ate here was for lunch and was it was recommended by the hostess at Captain Jacks in the Disney Village, yes it’s been that long. It is off the beaten path, yet so easy to get to. I love it because it reminds me of old, yet classic Disney. We did get a late reservation, but we’re informed and were the last guest of the night. They have a wonderful selection of bourbons at the bar that accent the horse and golf club decor. We were happy to choose a Disney Family wine to pair with dinner. The menu is simple, yet perfect. Bread service was yummy. We chose the charcuterie board, which had the most amazing, in house made, sausage, with beef, venison, and duck. I am a sucker for a prime rib and it was cooked to perfection!! The desserts were wonderful as well!! There are many more things on the menu I wanna try, mussels, lamb, filet!! I know I will kick myself eventually for saying this, but go try a quiet yet elegant dinner with your someone or the family. Yes I want to keep this place all to myself !
