For brunch make reservations to make sure you get a table. I made reservations for dinner but we were the early enough it may have not been necessary but it did get busy. Dinner was great lots of options. Food was the correct temperature, very flavorable. There was a great happy hour the enabled us to taste a variety of excellent cocktails.
The fish sandwich arrived cold. The plate was hot; the fish was cold. The side of brussels sprouts was flavored O.K., but only O.K., and they were so tough it took 3 minutes to chew one up enough to swallow - truly terrible. There were flies buzzing all around. (All right, we did eat outside, but still, very uncomfortable to be constantly swiping flies off the food.) Service was good, but that's all that was beyond 1 star. Seriously, why is this so popular?
Perfect corner spot for a fairly quick bite if you can find some parking. A few stream options were available at lunch. The drink options were pretty good with a wide variety of mules (as you'd expect). The food itself was pretty good. The pretzel bites were great but the fondue lacked seasoning badly. The burger itself was well cooked and quite messy. Ask for extra napkins!
The wait staff was excellent. Attentive and flexible. The meal was beyond my expectations. I had the New York strip, medium well, with sweet potato puree and brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious and it was my first time eating brussel sprouts.I also ordered the Summer Daydream. Very tasty cocktail, not too sweet.
This place had really excellent service and superior food. I hadThe stubborn mule burger, which includes, Havarti cheese fondue, cider onion Jim Mayo and crispy potatoes. It was truly outstanding! In addition, I also had fries and the old-fashioned. My family and friends all enjoyed their food and drinks. They had, the, steak tip tacos, soft pretzel rolls, short ribbed for pleasure and a Belgian waffle burger. No complaints! We sat outside and the weather was very cooperative.
Great service A+, good atmosphere and ambiance.
Great food, great service
The restaurant is very nice and the service was great but what made me not recommend this place is the Executive Chef Austin. With him walking into the place smelling of weed and alcohol and then handling the food doesn’t make it appetizing to me. I’ve even seen this girl with a dog bring him little alcohol bottles to work. Other than that the place is great so if they could easily fix that I’d change this to a 5 star and recommends. It just worries me that people that smoke weed before work then the smell comes off into the food and with alcohol it affects how it’s made as they are not fully their. Thank you
The Stubborn Mule was within walking distance of our hotel. We stopped in and was told it would be a 45-minute wait unless we wanted to sit at the bar. We did and I am so glad. Lindsey was the bartender, and she was so delightful. She made the best drinks. We had the zucchini fritters that were delicious. I had the penne for your thoughts which was outstanding. My husband had the short ribbed for pleasure flatbread pizza and he said it was delicious. The only reason this is not a 5-star review is the food took an hour to come out. That was a bit longer than I would have liked. We will be back.
While the restaurant is a bit of a logistic challenge for those, like me, who live outside the hub of Orlando, the food, the staff and the experience at The Stubborn Mule are WELL worth the effort. One of my favorite meals is Brunch. And at TSM, to me, brunch is their best meal time. They have inventive menu offerings that are tastefully executed with excellence. The only negative thing I will say, is that our server team didn’t seem too concerned about my wife’s GF allergy. Sure, that’s our issue to manage. But when I advised our primary server about the allergy, it was not even something in his radar after the fact.Yet like I said - it’s our issue. We should be the ones vigilantly handling it. The food and the staff of TSM is more than enough reasons to come back for another visit. Which we will be doing very soon!
