Food was good. Some things on menu they didn’t have
Had the conch dinner,that Mac n cheese tasted like my granny made it in very geek about this place food , I’m not easily impress with food in many places this my first time and so far so good
The service started out funny, but the owner came out and fixed things with ease. We understand how our younger generation can be in the service industry. I hope this restaurant rises to a LARGE in Orlando, Fl. It’s BlackOwned and the food is phenomenal, bursting with flavors in each bite, cooked with perfection. They have this drink called The Mystery drink, and it’s delicious and worth a try, it has this twisted jazzy homemade like lemonade flavor. We did come in late and was still fully satisfied with this place. If you’re in town try it out, you won’t regret it. ✌?
Visited after church with a few fellow members. Daniel was our server and he was very patient and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and seasoned to perfection. Definitely will be going back!!!
OMG When I tell you it is EVERYTHING we came in as a party of 8 Happy Birthday 2 me? the place was clean that's a plus the service was on point our beautiful waitress Tee is what I call her is amazing very welcoming took everyone's order with a smile. & was very knowledgeable about the menu. food came out in a timely manner. the cooks can cook because that food is???? cooked 2 perfection. I had the Grilled fish with Mac & cheese & them greens baby? & the Atmosphere was spot on for me. not 2 mention the beautiful cashier remember me from when I came in a while back. wow! & the other beautiful young lady sung happy Birthday 2 me. I highly recommend. I will most definitely be back again. They The Best I just had 2 say it?
When entering the atmosphere was chill… Server and workers were pleasant. The food was nice. We enjoyed the surprise colorful drink!However I asked for NO onions and tomatoes and the server advised it was no problem. I explained they are huge triggers for my migraines and again she said no problem. The bottom of my lobster contained onions and the manager had them make another one; AGAIN it contained onions. My husband asked for discount and was advised unable to do so for lobster so of course we requested another one without vegetables and FINALLY no onions… on our way home w my migraine…this location we will not be trying again.
I wish I could give zero stars. This is my second time eating at this location. The 1st time it was bad. The rice was hard and the conch was chewy. But every restaurant has their bad days so I’ve waited a few months to try this location again. Horrendous!!! The string beans taste like they dumped the enter container of salt in it. The pigeon peas and rice is hard and extremely salty. I’m so upset that I’ve wasted my money with this establishment. Please don’t waste your hard earned money here. The only positive thing I can say is that the mystery drink is good and my husband enjoyed the red velvet cake.
Maaaaaaaaannn, woah! Food is heartwarming, the flavors, the smell, the just left yo granny’s kitchen taste. I’ve been trying shrimp and grits a lot lately and hands down this is one of the best( top 2 easily). I reheated this a day and a half later and it was still bomb! Awesome on the sides, lawd have mercy. You got to try the mystery drink. They are serving it up at The Licking Orlando. Fried lobster and all, gonna be popping bottles come May they said. I will be back when I go to Orlando again and you can bank that. The best, bless up!
A Google search made me aware of The Licking while visiting Orlando during a Workcation. Amber, one of the servers, introduced me to the menu and shared recommendations of her favorites. She also gave me some history of The Licking. The menu selections were a tough choice as they looked good and Amber made them sound really good. I had the fried flounder with collards and yams. I chose a mystery frozen drink to wash it all down. Summer, another server delivered the goodies piping hot. The serving was more than ample and very good. The facility is colorful and nicely decorated. They have some good beats playing in the background. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The Licking was a good choice for Soul Food.
My first time dining at this location with my family & we had great food and great service! We left full and happy! Our server, Dwightney, was so essssnt and accommodating to our requests. She was perfect! ?? We will definitely come back to this location and you should too! ?
