Great food, the flavor is on point everything is very well seasoned. It was a bit salty, but worth it!!! The mystery drink is sweet and thirst quenching. I got the lobster Mac and cheese, it was pricey, but damn tasty!!! My fiance got the grilled fish n shrimp with collard greens and veggie rice, he also was impressed. Which says a lot as he's a real tough one to please! Overall I'd go back, he wouldn't as he thought it was too loud (and not his music choice) and the crowd wasn't his scene. I'd go back with my girls though.
Nice place! Friendly staff but horrible over seasoned and dry food. The music is too loud because I had to repeat the order several times. They made their money because I tossed this straight in the garbage. The chicken egg rolls tasted like flour and hard rice. I could beat a drum with the hard fries. Man I was rooting for this place.It looks good but the looks did not watch up with the Taste.
Great place to go every once in a while .....if you don't like your food really seasoned then this place is not for you other than that it hit the spot. The mystery drink is VERY sweet bit I am a sweet tooth person. My food did come cooked to order but make sure you pack your patience Expect to wait !!!
So we decided to try something new while visiting Orlando. As you can tell by the picture the chicken wings were very small but seasoned well. The greens omg plenty of flavor and plenty of meat. The fries were pretty standard. The red velvet waffles were delicious. I don’t like the fact that you can’t get a refill not even on a fountain Coke but they automatically add the gratuity in it literally cost a few pennies to provide you customers a refill on a fountain drink. Security at the door.

We had the absolute WORST service tonight. Tonight was my sister's birthday and we wanted to celebrate at The Licking. Man, were we wrong. We waited an hour and a half for food. There were 9 of us and we had to sit at 2 different tables. They completely forgot about my parents table and my parents walked out. There were 5 tables Sat AFTER US and they all got their food before we did. We saw our server Donamarie 1 time and that's when she took out order. The manager Dominick was horrible. He really did NOT CARE. He was suppose to give us a discount. He took 15% off the subtotal and then it was added back as the tip. WHO DOES THAT!!!!! Y'all truly ruined my sister's birthday dinner. NEVER AGAIN!!
Let me tell you....the wait was long but so worth it. The atmosphere was energetic. Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins was playing on the TV and the music was hitting.The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was surprisingly very good. I had high expectations and they were met. The mystery drink was fantastic. The drink alone is worth 4 stars.Give it a try. It's worth it.
Our experience was very pleasant. Based on reviews, I was initially full of uncertainty. However, we desired to give them a chance since we were looking for a black owned establishment. Upon entry, I was impressed with the mood & music. We were given an option to dine inside or outside, and because I'm still fearful of COVID-19, we chose outside. The server came within a short time to take our orders. I order the fried turkey wings with lemon pepper, mac/cheese, and veggie rice. My husband ordered fried tilapia, collard greens. & candy yams. We both ordered the mystery drink which was absolutely sweet & delicious. The mac/cheese is awesome! Overall, great experience ?.
Food was ?????! We had the wing sampler, shrimp and fries, shrimp alfredo, and snapper dinner with greens & mac. Whoever cooked that food needed to be SLAPPED and they need a raise! And our server Tangela was amazing and efficient as well. The whole staff was friendly and professional. They also play ? current music too!Sn: try the mystery drink too! You won't regret it!
