I have received a nice customer service from my takeout, however the food which I have ordered did not meet my expectations. I have ordered a vegetable mofongo as well as chicken empanada but unfortunately the mofongo itself was somewhat dry and hard. Empanada chicken mixture inside was not very flavorful. Even the vegetables did not have a nice flavor that I was hoping for, especially for the price which I have paid for one meal. My review is not about complaining but about helping to improve the quality of food for I would like to return. I believe other items are as delicious as others have described but my experience was different. I did appreciate the customer service and the care which I received upon my arrival.
I'm traveling for work in the area and just grabbed some takeout dinner from here- it was FANTASTIC!! I got the Pernil sandwich with a side of papas locas and one chik'n empanada. All of it was DELICIOUS. Garlic cilantro sauce I got for the empanada was killer too. It takes a lot to overwhelm me with spice and while I certainly wouldn't call this heavily spiced food, it was well balanced and very flavorful- those who called it bland either have unrealistic expectations or went on the wrong day for whatever reason. I would try it one more time just in case. Earthy Kitchen, you'll certainly be my mandatory Orlando-area stop from now on!
Wish I could give this no stars and write a review. We ordered the veggie mofongo and the chik’n mofongo today. There was no flavor at all. Apparently, each order came with a “garlic” sauce but it tasted nothing like garlic and I cook with garlic ALL THE TIME. It tasted more like soap. I called and told them about the taste and suggested they check their sauce. We will never order from here again. Yuck!
We totally need one of these in Tampa… Vegan Puerto Rican food is simply amazing. Tried the Tripleta sandwich and it was very flavorful and delicious. Also tried the stuffed potato ball… Stuffed with beyond beef crumbles, potatoes, carrots with a very flavorful sauce. It was absolutely one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. Also got the Quesitas flaky pastries, one with cheese and one with guava… All vegan of course. Taste exactly like the real thing.
I tried the jackpork and it was son delicious. I can tell they cook with so much love. I felt like en casita. They offer vegan puerto rican food, with soy más gluten free options. Highly recommended!
This review had to happen. This is hands down, the BEST vegan food I have ever had.I haven't been vegan for very long but I grew up a very picky eater, especially with textures. This food was so good my fiancé and I inhaled it before getting photos of anything more than my Cubano sandwich, but we had so many amazing things. He had a JackPork Pernil sandwich, we had rice and beans, plantains that I did in fact get a second order of, boiled yucca, a guava quesito for desert, some AMAZING empanadas, literally the FLAKIEST empanadas I have ever had in my life. The service was quick, I placed a fairly large order online around 3 pm and by 3:20ish we were walking out with out food! 10/10 experience, will definitely be going back. Found my new favorite place!
Good food and nice people
The mofongo was way too hard. I personally didn't like the beefless empanada but my friend enjoyed it.The sancocho was good but the potatoes needed a bit more time being cooked. The staff was friendly.I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
The food was amazing! I got the pastelon and an empanada this time and loved everything, but I will be back to try everything else on the menu.
So I am recently a new vegan who loves food. I haven’t really been enjoying my journey so far and I’m super lazy at cooking. We came an hour away to try the food here and we did not leave unsatisfied. This is place is definitely a hole in the wall but you know what they say a hole in the wall are always the yummiest places. I must comment that the this restaurant is absolutely clean from the tables and counters to the floors. Everything was spotless. We ordered a chick’n empanada, stuffed potato ball, a churrasco sándwich, and a tripleta. Neither of these items disappointed. The chick’n empanada was juicy and flavorful. I absolutely love the pieces of carrot in it. I must say even if all of these dishes were delicious the churrasco sandwich was the winner. This place deserves all the 5 stars. From cleanliness to food to hospitality all 5 stars and more.Good job guys! Ya’ll are doing such an amazing and impressive job with your food. Keep it up and don’t hold yourselves back. (Please teach me your secrets so that I can please my husband with delicious food ?)
