Burgers were perfectly cooked and marinated, fries were initially a bit cold but we were served with a fresh piping hot batch in less than a minute of letting our server know. Top notch service. Make sure to show your UOAP if you have one for a discount based on your tier.
Make reservations before the trip if you can to avoid the long wait times. We did our reservation online a few weeks before. Interesting mix of food & definitely worth a visit. Our server was very nice. We went on a friday night so it was very busy. Food was fresh & very good.
I entered the place as a walk in. 5:00pm. Two levels in the restaurant. About 35% of restaurant occupied. Asked for a table. Despotic response. Wouldn’t grant me a table until 45 min later. They wanted to send me to the bar with high stools. I told them that because of a back problem I needed a lower chair. Manager came to explain to me why they could not take me in. Manager and hostess had different answers. They just didn’t care. Manager was despotic to say the least. They didn’t care. Made me wait 45 minutes in the bar (high stool). Not even a glass of water offered. Then their “highnesses” dignified to call me at 5:50 to give me a table. Restaurant still was at about 50%. Ordered at 6:00 two sushi rolls and some pieces. Took about 45 minutes to get them. Waitress was really nice but the time to serve (bc of the kitchen ) was just beyond any reasonable expectation. Food arrived. Stale, fish looked like a movie prop. Eel sushi (which is usually served warm) came cold. Yellowtail and tuna looked opaque - I didn’t get sick but I got a vibe that I could. Sushi rolls taste was just average. Spicy tuna, inedible. Left more than half. Complained. They took $10 off my check (wow). Paid. Left. Never going back unless I develop some sadistic desire to punish myself. All of the above are facts. Irrefutable. Below, an opinion: [They are in a place that usually seems to be visited by people going to the Universal parks. So they rely on traffic flows and could care less about repeat customers (I mean, how many times a customer would say “hey! Let’s go to the universal walk and go to cowfish”?…. Probably zero.), hence their incentive is to bring traffic. Service and quality would be the least of their concerns. Again, what’s inside brackets is just an opinion. ] Hopefully their owners would read this because the managers attention to customers seem to be very poor. Prove me wrong.
If they didn’t have the best sushi roll - Dions OMG Wow roll…. They would have gotten a much lower rating. Reservation for 9:45pm… sat at 10:30pm… insane to me. Food pretty great. It’s the saving grace of this place. The manager that works there needs to be nicer to their staff. My poor waitress was running around carrying way to many tables. She looked over whelmed and my heart bled for her. Her manager would throw more work on her. Apps and Sushi rolls are good. Didn’t do any burgers. Would go again, but it will be awhile.
The food at this place is great. I’m not too sure why some say that it is pricey - we (a couple) had an appetiser, a burger each and we shared a sushi platter. The meal, with two drinks (with free refills) came to $85. From what we have experienced in Orlando many times before, we have paid more than that for lower quality food! The wagyu burger is great. The only thing I would suggest is that, if you have a reservation, you should be able to go right on upstairs to check in. We had to wait in a very long queue past our reservation time in order to check in, along with around 50 others who were queuing to join the waitlist. With the current system, I would get to the restaurant around 15/20 minutes before your reservation time in order to clear the downstairs check-in desk in good time. Otherwise, a great restaurant and I would recommend the covered patio for views of the beautiful Orlando sun setting over the parks.
I'd give a zero for this if I could and considering I gave a 5 star review last month, that is saying a lot. We had a reservation made in advance and confirmed via text for 4 pm tonight. we showed up at 5 minutes before and were told to wait outside. There was one bench, directly in the sun, but we figured we'd be only a few minutes. My husband went up to say we are still here and still waiting 20 minutes later. We left after waiting for half an hour. We had tickets for a movie and really didn't have time to keep waiting on them to find a seat for us. This was completely unacceptable. We won't go back because, though my husband is willing to give them another shot, I am not. What is the point in having a reservation if it means absolutely nothing? I won't be bothering with them a second time. Vacation or not, you wasted my time people.
We have heard from multiple sources that this restaurant is expensive! Well compared to all the other park food, it is right on par. However, you get an excellent meal. We had calamari, sushi, drinks, and a salad. My son said they made the BEST grilled cheese! The calamari was amazing, the grapefruit alcoholic bev I had was amazing, the salad was amazing, and the sushi was good (could have just been the roll I chose was not my forte). The only thing I would recommend is that they put seating in the hall downstairs for those waiting to be called.
We had dinner here yesterday. The Burgers were delicious but the Fries could have been a little warmer. We opted for the Burger after being informed that the restaurant does not serve grilled salmon fillet. My ratings: Service: Excellent Food: Very Good Ambience: Good Hospitality: Excellent Washrooms: Fair (need improvement) In all a good dinner. Munir D.
The food is really good! I love the appetizer "nachos" and the "big squeal" burgers we're absolutely to die for. My husband could eat burgers everyday and not tire, but I'd had my fill this week. He got the big squeal and after much coaxing, I tried it. Absolute perfection! My husband got it with regular fries, and sis-in-law with sweet potato fries. The fries were skinny fries instead of steak ones which generally go better with burgers IMHO, but the burger was divine! My bro-in-law got a bento box with a firecracker sushi roll. It was good also.
It was extremely busy due to stormy weather, and it was obvious the staff was doing everything in their power to still go above and beyond to meet customers wants. The food was unique and delicious, both the sushi as well as the burgers. My husband and I ended up their due to the rain and not as an original plan, and I'm glad we did. Highly recommend.
