Worst food ever… we order Chicken Madras, Tandoori Naan Its ok … but our Lamb Biryani had too much Salt on it taste horrible… the place was soo hot inside no AC on very disappointed
This is a lovely choice for an Indian restaurant. The restaurant is nice an spacious and and has friendly staff. Our server was very witty and helpful. We got popadoms and dips to start and I got the chicken madras for my main. My wife and kids got the chicken tikka masala. The food tasted delicious and the naan bread was nice and fresh. The chicken tikka masala came with onions and peppers in it which my wife and kids didn’t expect so be aware if you think your getting the vegetable free dish like in the uk you will has to specify that. It certainly did t ruin their meal. Pricing was reasonable considering the current inflation.
I ordered chicken biryani and it was horrible. The rice didn’t taste good and I could find only four LITTLE pieces of chicken in it. It seems that they just add some color to the rice and that’s it. I payed 18 dolars but I wasted my money!!!
Bad food badmouth owner plz don’t go this place it so dirty bugs are there the food is frozen and it so small portions avoid this restaurant
Definitely worth a place to visit! The food is amazing. We actually had a very tiring day and ended up coming just for tea. The owner was so kind to make us a big cup of tea. It was so kind! We ended up ordering food as well and it was beyond delicious.The server was so courteous.
This restaurant is a decent place for indian food. We only tried Chicken Tikka Masala , which tasted good and was really creamy. We also ordered plain naan and garlic naan, one of which came cold. Upon complaining, the staff quickly replaced it. Both types of naan tasted good.
I don't want to offend the hard working people in this restaurant...the food was ok, but it was definitely not great...anyone who says this is great Indian food has never had Indian food before or never had good Indian food. That being said....the service was very prompt, friendly, and attentive. The menu is surprisingly small for an Indian restaurant (where basically any sauce they make is offered with any meat they offer...this was not the case here, though I did not actually ask for any combination that wasn't on the menu). Prices are a bit steep, but hey, its on International Drive and the rents can't be reasonable there. I started with the some papadums...they were clearly freshly made as they were a touch of oil where they had been folded to fit in a fryer (i'd guess). They were tasty, but the accompanying chutneys, were meh. Had some vegetable samosas and they were large, piping hot, and flavorful. Along with a nice cold Cobra, I'm thinking so far so good. Then comes the main...chicken tikka masala since I was feeling lazy. I dunno what they heck they served me, but it wasn't chicken tikka masala. It was red like tomato soup and thin, with slices of red pepper in it. My wife's homemade tikka masala was better than this...and she's a w.a.s.p. and has made it once..... It wasn't horrible, mind, it just wasn't chicken tikka masala.....it was chicken in some kind of dayglo red tomato-y base with spices. It kind fit the bill, but it wasn't what I was after. Butter naan was a bit dry, think it was reheated. Again, the staff was efficient and friendly, the food was hot and quickly delivered, it just wasn't great. .
My meal was very authentic, made fresh and beautifully spiced. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They made a special eggplant dish not offered on the menu and it was great. I have had lots of Indian cuisine, in the US and in India. This ranks high on the list.
This was my first time visiting the Taj Mahal restaurant and I have to say it was a very outstanding experience. From the wonderful and friendly service to the delicious and satisfying food. The flavors from the Butter Chicken curry was amazing ? and the Garlic Naan as posted below was very very good. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Orlando area looking for good Indian cuisine!
Plates are empty! Our server NASCAR was the best! He gave great advice and we all shared many wonderful dishes!
