I went this past Friday after seeing video upon advertised video on Instagram of the pan con queso. Oh boy, I was excited. There was a 20 minute wait for my food to arrive once I ordered it. A lot of the reviews mentioned this so I was prepared, but hungry! The pan con queso looked promising when I got the cheese pull demonstrated in my first photo, but there was an initial concern when there were 2, not one, patties of cheese. Let me explain, 2 patties would generally make me happy but it doesn’t mean you get more cheese. Two patties means you get double the breading, and worse there is an aftertaste on your tastebuds of the oil that lingers around for a while. It’s more like pan con un poquito de queso y mas pan con el flavor de aceite.Once my initial bite was over, I noticed even more that the amount of cheese to bread ratio was off. In my second photo it appears to be the thickness of one slice of cheese. I’m trying to give you all the benefit of the doubt. Maybe all of the cheese comes out with that initial cheese pull? The third picture shows what happened when I had to hunt for my queso.I will go back to try something else, and hopefully I can review again with a higher rating. The pan con queso is a no go for me though. 3 stars because it had potential, but it is highly NOT recommended unless Taino’s wants to give me what is advertised on Instagram.
Great and tasty foods, clean and safe environment, beautiful Spanish music playing while the staff greeted me with a big smile and with great quality costumer service. I recommend this establishment to everyone; children and family friendly! A special thanks to Aileen as she was patience, kind, and very special! People such as herself is what makes customers return to this establishment, which is great for business and great for us, the customers! Great experience!Pedro
I went in with high expectations, was so excited I brought my mom because she loves Puerto Rican style bakeries. Needless to say we were really looking forward to the Pan con Queso with scrambled egg sandwhich advertised with 10oz of cheese . However, the only thing that exceeded my expectations was there was no wait when I initially put in our order at 12:19. However, at 12:40pm we had not been called up, at 12:41 an employee came to us to tell us there was an issue with the cheese but the sandwiches should be out in 5 minutes. We finally got our sandwhiches at 12:52pm and were sadly disappointed. I gave it 3 stars because the quesito pastry and relleno de papa were good. But the main reason we went was very underwhelming. I may go back to try something different but definitely won't be ordering that again.
Always delicious and more than I can eat. Huge selection of pastries. Very reasonable prices
1st time here while visiting relatives, food, service & prices were excellent!
Delicious authentic Puerto Rican pastries and breakfast!
It was terrible. I asked for scrambled eggs. They delayed more than 40 minutes to bring this and when they arribes it was totally different. Maybe was a bad day there but it was a bad experience for me.
Great Bakery/cafetería. Good, tasty and fresh food. Quick service. They have a bufett type service for quick serving. Good prices and friendly staff.
Feels just like home! Food was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. I am absolutely loving this place! Highly recommend!
We found Taino's Underhill Road on Google maps and decided to give it a try on the way to our car rental drop off. Both of us had the Cubano sandwich with the works - carnitas, jamon, cheese on crusty bread. They were outstanding and truly authentic flavors. They were also huge and we could have easily split one. The owner or manager spotted us and recignized we were new customers and came over to welcome us. She also comped us with two huge quesitos which were delicious. The atmosphere is great. loads of people chatting happily while eating away. Clearly a popular spot. When we are next back in Orlando we will be sure and have another meal there.
