We came for cocktails and live music. It was our first time! Just became pass holders and moved to the area. So much to do here in Orlando. Strong Water Tavern is by far the best restaurant we have discovered! There is a lot of talent in Orlando. Kathleen with her genuine personality and attentive service is absolutely incredible. If you are looking for the royal treatment go to Strong Water and ask for Kathleen!!!!
This was the first time we had been to a restaurant like this and we don’t know to much about the Orlando area. Our waitress Kathleen was very sweet in helping us order (BBQ pork was delicious) and give us suggestions on what to see while we we were in town. Look foreword to going back my next time in the area
We stopped here our first night of a 4-day trip to Universal studios, and can confidently say this was the best food experience we had. Our table of 2 ordered the BBQ pork shoulder and the pork belly tacos, both of which were so remarkable that we kept talking about it days later. The pork shoulder, especially, was perfectly pull-apart tender, not fatty, and oh so delicious. It was followed by the best chocolate cake I’ve had in a long while—moist and substantial but not too rich as to be sickly sweet—given to us complimentarily because it was my sister’s birthday. To top it off, the live guitar music was truly excellent, and we had wonderful service from a delightful waitress named Kathleen.
We are staying at the Royal Pacific Resort. Tonight we dined at Strong Water Tavern at Saphire Falls Resort. There was live music. Our server Kathleen was excellent! I highly recommend this tapas style bar for anyone who enjoys a different selection of food from the local theme parks.
The restaurant décor was amazing, the food was excellent. Thought they only serve tapas. Our server Kathleen was not as good as the other servers that we saw. around. they were all smiling and interacting with their tables, not ours! She was not engaging. Seemed bothered by us and was not friendly or approachable. Also was not knowledgeable about the menu. We asked if she had regular tostones made with plantains in the menu and she told us no, they were all made from breadfruit. When the food came out my son's plate had plantain tostones. Also, we did not know it was a tapas restaurant until we were presented with our food. When we asked her she was annoyed that we did not know. I wish she would have said something at the beginning of our service. Also the drink that I got from the bar was served on a broken glass. When we told her she again seemed annoyed and continued to serve our food and left. Had to call her back to remind her of switching the drink. Food was great. atmosphere was great, our server was not .
Delicious tapas and great atmosphere. We ordered a variety of drinks (beer, cocktails and wine). Highly recommend the margarita, it was not too sweet and a heavy pour. For the meal, we had two orders of the buttermilk chicken tenders (our favorite), mini sliders with French fries, pork belly tacos, chicken and rice, ceviche, and flank steak with a side of rice. Among the three of us, we were able to finish all the tapas! Our server, Nick was decent but not the friendliest (reason for knocking off a star). Will most likely return.
We had Kathleen and she was a true pro. Very attentive, friendly and helped us navigate the menu. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The food was next level fantastic!
We enjoyed sitting at the bar for a nightcap, or before dinner drink. Great selection and the bar staff is great.
I spent the weekend in Orlando with my family and we came to this restaurant to eat. The service was spectacular and the food was very delicious. My family and I went both days and our first server was manny and he had amazing service. The next day we had Kathleen she also had amazing service. Very nice restaurant I 100% recommend.
My wife and I have been staying at the Saphire Falls, where the Strong Water is located and next door at the Royal Pacific resorts three or four times a year since 2017. Their food is excellent. It's served in a small plate Tapa style! They are a rum bar and the Fountain of Youth is simply it favorite. It's strong, but very tasty! My wife also loves their Milk Punch! Even when we stay next door at the Royal Pacific, we will make our way back to the Saphire so we can eat dinner and simply relax at the Strong Water! We recommend sitting on their patio which over looks the lagoon! It's so beautiful!!! Especially on a warm Orlando, Florida evening!!! We have had great servers there, Melanie, who no longer works there was great and we miss her, but this past trip we had the pleasure of meeting having and having Kathleen be our server, and she was awesome as well. Honestly, we have always had great servers. My wife and I can't wait until our next trip, and we will back at the Strong Water! ?
