A friend asked me to describe my Space 220 experiment and this is what I said.“Space 220 has Ruth’s Chris Pricing but, not Ruth’s Chris Food Quality.”Make no mistake Space 220 is an experience. From the beautiful lobby entrance to the elevator ride to dining, their is so much to take in. The cast members do an excellent job at making you feel like you are truly dining 220 miles from above earth. With the top notch experience from the entrance to the table my hopes were high for the food experience. Unfortunately that’s where I was brought down to earth. The appetizers we ordered were good and the adult drinks were novelty over taste. I kept my hopes high for our main meal.Unfortunately the main meals fell a little flat. The food used for our meals I’m sure we’re fresh and of great quality but, when brought together it was unmemorable. Inspired by space but, slightly void of taste. For a family of 5 here is what we got2 appetizers, 2 adult drinks, 4 adult meals and 1 kids meal + 2 shared desserts = $350+Again, let me say the experience and customer service were exceptional! The food taste + price…didn’t seem to match.

Very fun experience, would be relaxing if not for the multiple tables of screaming children. We went for lunch which has a different menu than dinner. The menu is prix fixe. The space greens and calamari appetizers were delicious and huge portions. We got the steak, fries, and broccolini for an entree and the broccolini was amazing! The steak was probably the worst I’ve had at one of Disney’s nice restaurants, but overall a great experience.

Dinner for 5 at 4:45 worked great. The experience was good, with a fun 'space elevator' up to the restaurant. Enjoyed the friendly hosts, the cool dim setting, and the relatively personal experience due to largely spaced out tables. The server was fast and helpful. The five stars was for the quality of food, especially considering the high volume. The kids food wasn't fancy, but they loved the novelty moon rocks (pop rocks) drink. My wife loved her medium filet and my crab stuffed lobster was excellent. The desserts were also great.

If I had to use one word to describe this restaurant it would be gimmicky. This is a new Disney restaurant at an incredibly expensive price and it felt like a generic space themed restaurant. I didn’t come in with high expectations, but this place somehow underwhelmed me.The food is just painfully average to bad. The Salmon was not good for my party. I read several reviews that said it was decent so it could have been just a bad order for us which happens. The Steak Frites and Calamari were just fine.I think little kids will get a kick out of the space theme, but it just seems like a lazy implementation on Disney’s part. There are several simple improvements I think they could do to make it more engaging if they actually wanted to try. The price point for lunch and dinner is just absurd. I knew the price going in so that’s on me, but do yourself a favor and go to a really nice restaurant instead or find something else for your kids.

This was a super cool dining experience. My kids loved the space feel and watching the characters and ships float by. I enjoyed it as well but the food topped it off. I chose the Blue Moon Cauliflower as an appetizer and the Steak Frites as my entree. Both were excellent choices with the cauliflower crispy and flavored well with the buffalo sauce and the steak cooked perfectly. I'm also pretty picky with my fries and these were hot and crispy. Wife chose the calamari and Ahi Tuna (sorry, no pictures!) and she was very pleased with both. The kids enjoyed a burger, fries and macaroni and cheese, with a cupcake. The elevator experience for entry and exit is an excellent addition to the dining room view.

So my wife and I were able to to finally get to have dinner at Space 220. The ride in the space elevator was great. Though I thought there would have been more of an acceleration feeling, but still a great way to start dinner. When getting out of the elevator the feeling of being In the station was very cool. Once you get the actual restaurant it was at first awsome. Seeing the Earth from 220 miles up is great. Though after you have been there for a while, the cool spaceships and astronauts that orbit around seem to start to repeat. It would have been great if Disney had that part longer before the repeat started. The food and drinks were themed great. I had steak and my wife had the duck and the fish appetizer. Have to say it was very, very good but not as great I thought a restaurant at this level in Disney would have been. Overall the whole experience taken as a package was very good and would go back again when they update the menus and to try lunch.

This restaurant is amazing! It is far out experience and of course it is space themed. It is located in Disney's Epcot Park and reservations are very hard to acquire. There are 2 separate reservations available If you are lucky enough to find them, for the main dining room and the lounge. You get the same experience no matter the reservation. The difference between the two is that in the main dining room you're closer to the outer space windows but they can be seen from all over the restaurant. There is also a prefixed menu which can be expensive for a family. We dined at the Space 220 lounge which consisted of a bar a la carte menu. We ordered the short rib sliders, chicken on a waffle, with veggies on the side, and a celestial cosmopolitan. The food was delicious especially those potato wedges. The casts members were amazing, genuinely nice, and the service was phenomenal. The biggest draw to this restaurant was the fact that you get to ride a "space elevator" to travel to the restaurant. The windows to outer space (screens) were so immersive that it made you feel like you were in space while you dined. Keep your eyes on the windows things happen in space. The bathroom was not a spacey but still cool. I highly recommend this restaurant especially the lounge.

Here’s a secret, if you can’t get a reservation, the lounge takes walk-ins. There was no line when we went, around 6pm. We were told the wait would be 60-90 minutes. We waited 5!It’s pricey. 2 nonalcoholic drinks ($12 each) and an appetizer of chicken and waffles ($18).Once we got inside only about half of the tables were occupied. I asked if we could move to a table and they said yes. I changed my mind once I looked up the menu prices online, but good to know it was possible. The atmosphere is out of this world but but it's very expensive. Too expensive, I think.Space 220 is located inside Epcot. Park admission is required. Reservations are highly recommended.#orlandoparksguy

Reservations were so hard to get, but it was so worth the wait!!! We were treated with great service from start to finish, especially Vanessa who was our AMAZING server!! She was out of this world. And don’t get me started on the food. Honestly it might be the best restaurant I’ve tried in a Disney park and let me tell you I’ve tried plenty. Everyone in my party had different things which we all did to share and try the most we could; the calamari and cauliflower were one of the best appetizer’s ever. Please do yourself a favor and try this place out, you won’t regret it.

The concept of Space 220 is that you must take a space elevator to reach the restaurant 220 miles (hence the name) above Earth. That experience is cool. Besides that, the magic expected in any Disney location is a little lacking here.Getting reservations is very hard. We were able to get them but with two months in advance. It is understandable the place is new and they need to adjust in the process. The actual menu needs a serious improvement. We got the Blue Moon Cauliflower which was mushy, not good. Also got the Chicken on Waffles which was good but not out of the ordinary. Drinks are OK.The stars of the place are their servers. Arianna, you were FANTASTIC during our visit! Hats off to you!.Are we going back? We would say not likely unless an improvement is implemented.
