Was a small Sonic. No dine-in available. You can eat outside from the building, they have seats and tables. There is a drive thru and the usual drive up to speakers and park car while you order.
I would have given 0 stars but that was not an option. One car in front of me and had to wait almost an hour to be able to order and get my food. Food and drink were made incorrectly. No apology for the long wait or making the food/drink improperly. We had a second car with us that went to a stall since we waited so long in line. They ended up doing a mobile order since the employees never answered the speaker. This wasn't even a busy Sonic, and now I know why.
I grew up on Sonic as a kid in Oklahoma. I work down the road from the Sonic on I-Drive in Orlando and have seen a steady decline in the last 3-4 months. They seem to have a very hard time hiring and keeping staff, the food quality has gotten AWFUL. Today, I waited over 15 min for someone to being out my mobile order and she forgot my drink! My toaster breakfast sandwich was not even toasted and the tots were cold. This has been an ongoing issue and I need to stop going back hoping it will get better. They have removed over half the ordering stalls and the exterior has gotten run down. Over the last 20 years that I have lived in Orlando I have seen this location encounter many changes but I would not be surprised if they close soon. The exterior is unkept, grass is over grown and pavement is black from being never cleaned. This is all very sad as I know how great Sonic can be. As a local i would highly suggest trying another location.
I've been to over 50+ Sonics from Florida to California. Even worked at a couple. This one has to be one of the worst. They don't even know how to make a "vanilla, vanilla cream, coke. The last 4 times I've been have I was not impressed.The grass is not cut.The outside area could use a face-lift.The floors outside appear to look super greasy and black.
Food was tasty, tho I should say the tater tots plain were a bit meh. But that's in contrast to how tasty they are with toppings etc. Everything was good except for a few things.. speed of service was pretty bad. Considering that it wasn't super busy, it still took nearly 15 minutes to get our food. Also, they could use more trashcans. Otherwise great. And the employee was very nice and apologetic for the crazy long, inexplicable, wait.
I generally love sonic, but this location is fairly horrible sadly. I placed a mobile order for three drinks, no food, and ended up waiting almost an hour after arriving for them to bring out the drinks. I was told they are short staffed, but there were only two other cars waiting the entire time, and an hour is way too long for drinks. I was prepared to be forgiving despite all that just because I was happy to get my sugar fix, but almost gagged after a sip of my slush. It's very clear this location hasn't cleaned their ice or drink machine in some time, as the drink tasted like dirty water and slightly of mold. We ended up tossing the drinks. Avoid this location if possible.
We frequent this location and usually there are no major issues. Last night however they refused to take our order. Due to being shortstaffed and too busy was their excuse. They were not closing early and it was an hour and 45 minutes until their closing time. They were busy so my husband asked why they were serving everyone else and refusing us and she said they ordered online. So apparently if I just sat there and ordered my food online they would not have been able to refuse service then. That makes no sense. I understand busy and short staffed. That means food may take a while to come out. It does not mean you refuse service because you don't want to take any other orders.I see plenty of responses from the owner/manager but many similar reviews for poor service so obviously they are good at replying but not fixing the problems. smh.
Being from the UK we’ve never been to sonic and wanted to try it out. We went once and were hooked! We must have visited this location on 6/7 occasions in 2 weeks!! What an incredible place. The food was incredible on ever occasion and the staff were so nice and friendly (something you don’t get in the UK) We will 100% be back when we are in FL, we only got back on Tuesday and I’m already missing your breakfast toaster and strawberry lemonade!!
It took almost a hour to get my food and this is not the first time at this location it was not busy also if your coming here in a rush go somewhere else i could go to a sit down restaurant and get my food faster i don't like leaving negative reviews but this needs to be said and my food was cold like it was siting out for a while as i waited
I chose to give them one star based on my own experience I ordered a meal it came with fries instead of giving me edible fries the gave me old hard crunchy fries and got irritated because I asked them to make me a new batch . Then I asked for a cherry vanilla Dr. Pepper and they like dumped all the Marciano cherry juice in a cup with no cherries very little ice then no one was in line but I waited a good 9 min before having to go around again and park for replacement
