One of the best BBQ experiences I've had in Florida. I love the spot in which the food truck was stationed, the whole place set the vibe for me to have some of the best brisket I've ever had. I thought the Mac was pretty good, and the donut paired with my meal was great as well. The maple bourbon glaze on the donut was delicious, but for my taste I thought the bourbon was a bit too strong. Definitely will be one of my spots when I come back up to Orlando.
Went to Smoke and Donuts for lunch at A La Cart in Orlando. Not a bad experience, per se, but definitely weird. We’re ordering our food, and the guy working the truck (he didn’t have his name tag so I didn’t know his name) tells us that they “don’t have a fryer anymore.” Not sure if that just meant temporarily or at all. Therefore, fries and donuts were not available (which is odd considering that donuts are in the name of the food truck). So we order, and I notice he’s having a problem with the POS system. It’s not allowing him to put in my order because it’s lunch time, and I ordered something off the dinner menu, at which point he gestures toward a rolled up lunch menu on a shelf above his head. He tells us that he “was supposed to put that up last night.” It was not a very busy day at A La Cart so I’m not sure why he hadn’t just put it up in the morning. So I ask him what I could actually order, at which point he brings out the lunch menu and hangs it on the truck. The lunch menu is far more limited than the dinner menu, but my wife and I ordered sandwiches and we waited for our food. Overall the sandwiches my wife and I had were good, but nothing I would rave about. The Kansas City sweet barbecue was pretty good, but I’ve had barbecue in Kansas City, and this wasn’t it. Might benefit from a change of name. The spicy quince barbecue was really interesting and my wife and I both liked it. The vinegar barbecue was very watery and appeared to just be vinegar. Like I said, not a bad experience per se, but there were several things that were just unprofessional. I’m not sure I would eat here again if there were other food truck options available.
We used Smoke & Donuts for our business conference lunch and it was amazing! The food was excellent and all 100 attendees at our event loved it. Ben was SUPER patient with me and all my questions! He showed up and got everything set up in under 10 mins...Ian was also really great to work with post event for payment! We had a wonderful experience with this company and I would highly recommend using them for your event!
Ian and the rest of his catering team did a fabulous job catering for my wedding! <3 In short they were extremely helpful and accommodating to my indecisiveness and expectations. Truly I chose smoke and donuts for the price and I have to say the price isn't the only great thing about smoke and donuts! BBQ was not my first choice as a wedding dish but the food was amazing to say the least and the service equally great! My guests could not stop raging about how good the food was. We did not order a catering service but a drop off and set up and it was well worth it. 5/5 stars in taste, quality, responsiveness, and service. Thank you smoke and donuts for being a positive part of our big day. You guys go above and beyond :)
Just tried Smoke & Donuts for the first time after hearing and reading good things. I really wanted to like this place, as I'm always looking for a good BBQ spot, but what I got was really not good. The flavors were there, the sides were just okay, but the meat... Just super overdone. I got brisket and added some pulled pork; the pork was just alright, nothing to really add to that, but the brisket was so tough, like embarrassingly so.I'm willing to give them another try, but unfortunately disappointed.
We had the 1121 sandwich with fries, the nutty panda, and the sun/moon/stars. Everything was absolutely delicious in every bite. My favorite was the sun/moon/stars donut. It was warm, tangy, sweet, and just the right size of desert. The establishment is located in an area with other food trucks, but there is ample parking and restrooms. They even have an inside area to sit where they serve beer if you dont want to sit outside. The trucks offer something for everyone from sushi or steak to vegetarian or all meat. This little hide away even has donuts and ice cream. Definitely go for the experience and bring some friends/family with you.
Came here on Valentine’s Day and grabbed 4 donuts that we were supper excited to finally try. Not really sure what went wrong but we waited for +30 minutes for our text that we never got, just to finally find out our food had already been ready and sitting in the food truck (not sure why anyone couldn’t let us know they were done considering how small the area is). The donuts were alright, getting them cold definitely was disappointing, we didn’t even finish them. Overall just a upsetting experience after reading all the reviews. I would also like to note the male cashier was not friendly from the beginning of my experience to the end.

Only giving a 4 star because they were out of donuts. I got the brisket and asked for the most burnt and marbled and they delivered. Awesome . No sauce needed.
Wonderful experience here at a local food truck. Service was super quick and meat was tender and fresh. This is a beautiful area to grab a quick bite to eat and relax outside.
