Visited 06/16/2022. Came here with a friend and just wanted to try Ethiopian food. We ordered Beef Samosas (forgot to take the pic sorry), Selam Meat and Veggie Combination Special, and Baklava. Service was amazing, our server was very friendly and helpful with helping us order since we’ve never been. Food quality was superb and appeared as authentic as Ethiopian food goes. The special could reasonably feed 3-4 but it was just 2 hungry guys in my party and we still were filled by the end. The Baklava was fresh (never had it fresh before) and it just blew my mind. Will come again when I have the chance!

It's a great place! Really liked the decor and thethe service. We ordered a Veggie Special since the person didn't want to try the meat dishes since they looked spicy. We loved the experience of eating with the injera(which tastes also tastes amazing by itself!), and every single dish in the special tasted great. It was plenty filling for two.We also ordered a side of beef samosa, which had the right amount of spicy to be delicious.10/10 - Would recommend

So, when a place has a 4.9 on both yelp and Google you won't be dissatisfied right? .... Correct. This place was amazing. New to Ethiopian/Eritrean food, they were accommodating and explained things several times. Their own herbal tea blend beat any of the expensive blends I buy at Megacon lol. We got the giant sharable sampler and it was the best choice. Loved everything but one out of ten dishes. Their homemade baklava was divine. And honestly, I shouldn't have had coffee this late, but the ceremony was so cool and the coffee so tasty! It was an amazing, 5-star experience and I am saddened because I don't have this place near where I live.

If you are a gluten free vegan, you will love this place. We shared a veggie platter and it was the best Ethiopian food we have ever eaten. The service was so warm and friendly. It was a great dining experience.

So very delicious. This is my 3rd time having Ethiopian food, this time in FL and it was great. Service was amazing the owner really was kind and explained the dishes I was curious about to me. They make everything from scratch. Would definitely recommend and come back again. Thank you

This restaurant is awesome! Food is great, staff loves what they do and our waiter took the time to teach us a little of the language and culture. Very laid back and not rushed. Loved our experience and it was perfect for a date night. Got the veggie combo and coffee ceremony at the end, which is the way it's supposed to be. Will be back!

Selam offers a welcome respite in an area where most options are American or Italian food. The meal was outstanding and the service excellent. Highly recommended.

Selam is among the absolute best restaurants in the greater Orlando area. The servers are incredibly friendly, the food is flavorful and mouthwatering. It's a particularly good place to come with family and friends and share a meal (I wouldn't try to order individual dishes for people). Expect to roll up your sleeves and eat with your hands. I recommend getting the veggie combination and/or meat combination so you can try a lot of what Selam has to offer, but honestly everything I ate was incredible.

My wife and I ate lunch here. We had the Selam Veggie Special (for two). Food was spectacular and plentiful. Best injera I have ever had. Service was great. We will return…

Sometimes it’s tough to find an authentic restaurant in Orlando but Salem fits the bill since the moment you enter the restaurant. The incense, music and food spice smell all add to the ambiance. The service is very cordial. Ethiopian food is pretty mysterious for Americans because we are not accustomed to the dishes nor the ingredients (or eating with your hands!). However the waiter was willing to explain everything on the menu. I ordered the Gored Gored since I love meat and spice and am not squeamish about rare meat. It was delicious. The only slight negative is the price but I think it’s worth it due to the restaurants authenticity.
