The 1950s Sci-Fi was weird and you get to enjoy the fun in a indoor drive in with air Conditioning.Food is reminiscent of a 1950s drive in culinary experience (so I’m told). I enjoyed the Pork on Pork burger with coleslaw (not on the menu so ask for it).A good time was had by all!Reminder as with most Disney restaurants make your reservations 60 days in advance!
This is another themed restaurant in Hollywood studios which is very popular by the amount of people waiting to get in. I like the idea however I am just not a fan eating in the dark! I like to see what I am eating and it’s just too dark something that I get it’s a drive in but just could t get on with it. The food was ok I had the pork burger with pork belly which was very nice however the rest of the family were not blown away by the food. The staff again great and helpful, we were keen to eat the fried pickles which were very tasty.
I've been coming to this restaurant since I was small and it just gets better and better. We had Khalid as our server and he was so great. He was super attentive, fast, and super nice. The newer menu items were delicious. The shakes are always great. The atmosphere is what makes the place though. You feel like you stepped right into a 1950's drive in. The clips on the screen are cool and funny, and the whole experience is just a blast everytime. You should definitely make a reservation for this whenever you go to Disney world!
3rd visit here and will be the last. Booked weeks earlier yet still a 20 min delay and food was ages to arrive and less than average. Prices increased but not worth the price. Worse thing was that when we finally got our bill the girl didn’t arrive back as promised for the payment. After 10 minutes we went to the desk to pay but I had to return to the seat and wait even longer to pay. We missed valuable time and nor acceptable. The girl server was aware that we needed to rush off but took over 30 mins to pay!!!!
We keep coming back each year. Make sure you get the shakes...delish! The atmosphere is cool and service good. We prefer this restaurant over Vine
We had the pasta with chicken and it was the best I've ever had. Service here is always top notch. In my 14 years of going to Disney World, I have never had a bad experience at this restaurant our definite must do reservation.
We weren't sure if we wanted to eat at 10:30 in the morning but it was a great choice for breakfast. Good sandwiches, good coffee in a very entertaining atmosphere. The kids loved it.
We arrived 20 minutes early for a 12:15 reservation and waited outside sitting on a wall in the shade for about 15 minutes before being seated. There were many people in line at check-in asking if walk-up tables were available only to be told to check back frequently since there is no wait list for walk-up tables (which Disney calls flying saucers, but are just round patio tables). We were seated at a 6-person rectangular table that had front and back car shape on the ends. I was expecting that we would be in the standard car with 3 bench seats facing the screen so having a table was better for us since we could actually talk to each other. Our teenage grandsons laughed at the campy movies. We started with onion rings (which were amazing) and drinks followed by burgers and turkey croissant sandwiches. The entrees all come with massive amounts of large cut fries. 2 people in our party shared a turkey croissant sandwich with fries and were completely satisfied. The CM brought a second basket for ease in sharing. While everyone’s food was delicious and enjoyed the many drink refills the service was not fast but probably typical for a sit down Disney park meal. A large party with several small children who were yelling, pushing and being loudly disciplined took away from the drive-in theatre immersion. It was very difficult to hear the sound from our drive in speaker. Our CM was attentive and humorous. She kindly brought a lit cupcake for a member of our group who was celebrating their birthday.
Overall fun experience, the food is pretty decent but I think you’re paying slightly more for the experience than the food. There are some regular tables but you sit in one of the cars, the tables are VERY small and it’s pretty tight. You definitely have to play a bit of Tetris with everything you get. Our server was nice but wasn’t the most attentive. I would go back if I had people in my party that have never been. The cars with two rows had plexiglass in between them but the cars with three rows didn’t seem to have it.
We ate a lunch here on our recent trip to WDW. It was cool and dark ( dirive in ) which is just what we needed on a very hot day in Florida. What we were not expecting was how delicious the food would be!! It was great. Our server was also very interactive , esp with the 2 children in the group who loved every second. It was a definite high light of our trip
