The decor is simple, but clean, but the food is excellent. Vegetable samosa were wonderful, the service was extremely quick and Celsius our server was extremely attentive. And if you like Mango Lasse, these are some of the best.

We went here for dinner on Memorial Day. Despite the holiday, and despite going very close to the closing time ( we went in at 9:40pm), they were able to accommodate us for dine-in unlike another restaurant a couple of doors away that despite being open refused to take orders for both carry out and dine-in. And for that, I will always be very grateful to Saffron Indian cuisine. We ordered a tikki for appetizers followed by malai kofta, dal tadka, tandoori roti and raita for main course. The food was piping hot, fresh and well spiced. The dal was in fact exceptional- soothing and comforting like you’d expect it to be. Service was very quick and responsive. Our server Calso did an amazing job. The decor of the place was also good.Would definitely recommend this place for their good food, and good service.

Indian cuisine is the best cuisine on the planet. That's my opinion. Now, I just have to explore all the best Indian places in Orlando and see what they have to offer me. I'm very rarely in this part of town, but I just happened to be around for something, so I was like, omg, let me Finally stop in and see what all the fuss is about. It's in one of those Sand Lake strip malls that has a bunch of 'fancy' restaurants, and the inside of this place did feel very swanky. Clean, minimal, slightly Bollywood. I felt very at peace and ready in inhale some delicious food.I started off with the Saffron Mix Platter (Assorted platter with samosa | veg tiki | onion bhajiya | vegetable pakora). I could have eaten pounds of all this stuff. An almost tempura-like vegetable item, Indian onion rings, and a potato ball. Very, very good stuff. And also, if you have never had a samosa before, (Pyramid shaped pastry stuffed | Potatoes | Green peas | Spices), you're missing out on an ethnic food item that is one of the best in the world, rivaling falafel and churros, in my opinion. So, on to the couple of entrees I ordered. First, the Chicken Korma (Chicken breast | Cashew paste | Rich creamy sauce). Tender, white meat chicken is the main protein here. The sauce it's served in is very mild, very creamy, and a little cashewy, which adds to the creaminess. Think almond milk vs cashew milk. It's a little of that comparative creaminess. This was served with a side bowl of basmati rice. Oh so good.Thennn, the main event, the Goat Biryani (Goat | Saffron rice | Aromatic spices). My favorite meal of all time. It's basically a saffron-heavy fried rice with bone-in goat that falls off that bone because of how soft it is. Crazy pungent Indian spices and super crispy onion straws on top. You must try biryani. If you're not sure about the goat, get chicken, get shrimp. Whatever it takes.I realize that this seems like a long ad for Indian food, instead of a review for a restaurant. I know. I'm sorry. I'm just so passionate about all of this. I showed up at Saffron wanting a five star meal, and I got a five star meal.

We received excellent service from our waiter, Celso, and he was spot on with his recommendations when I asked for them.

Unfortunately service was poor, don’t know what’s happened to this restaurant( when asked about popadoms & dips told they were charged extra, we ordered them anyway as the potato starter didn’t come with any sauces!! I have a dairy allergy we couldn’t have the samosa( I had it the last time 3 years ago) they now buy them in so he said I couldn’t have they basmati rice, they got me steamed rice for the Mediterranean restaurant!! The chicken & lamb chattinad were extremely good. In the end they didn’t charge for the popadoms So WHAT IS THE ISSUE HERE is it just we’re not locals! 3rd time visiting but couldn’t give them 5 stars as I did the previous 2 times, our las server was from Nepal & he was so nice but not this time.

Best Indian food I've had since I was in Bangalore. Everything was delicious I'm definitely going to be back ASAP!!UPDATE:I went back with my family and we ordered the mixed grill. This tastes IDENTICAL to what I ate at a kabob place in Bangalore. If you go here YOU MUST ORDER THIS!!! Everything else was I ordered was amazing as well and the service was incredible! I'm so happy I found this place!

Tikka masala and lamb korma were especially tasty. We enjoyed the saffron mix platter as appetizer and also enjoyed the butter chicken. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Southern Indian cuisine. Garlic naan & onion bahjee very tasty. Lamb & chicken curries piping hot - fresh fluffy basmati. Clean tables. Wine soft drinks or beer

This was my First time in this Indian Restaurant- food was superb! Service prompt and staff very courteous. Their Naan bread was outstanding! Pricing was great also.

This writing is long overdue, but the fact we visited over 6 weeks ago and the experience still compels me to write is significant. Although my husband and I arrived late in the evening and were from out of town, we were treated like royalty, which seemed to be true for other guests as well. Through blissful ignorance, we ordered too much food for us - but it gave us all the more incredible flavors and tastes (and leftovers). Of all the times we dined out during a week filled with celebratory anniversary meals, this is the one we talk of the most. Please open a second restaurant in Phoenix!
