Had reservations booked weeks in advance. Probably not a terrible idea because it did seem to fill up in the evening. Same food as quick service basically. Server was one of the worst our family has ever had....... Too much to type..... Had a food allergy and she could careless..... then the food was terrible. Burger bun fell apart once you picked it up, got pinapple on burger and was paper thin with a stain of sauce. Waffle fries maybe had 5 total. (I will say those were very good) Wifes "Chicken Breast Sandwich" was a sorry 1/4" thick Walmart frozen patty........ At this point everything was bad so my wife decided to say something when the server came back around finally.... (We watched the server next two us come to his table every 5 mins, very different service )..... So she now gets a bbq burger and it's worse then the chicken that really couldn't of been worse..... Our family never pulls this card but it was Manger time...... He was great and actually went beyond any restaurant ever has to make sure we left "happy". offered anything we wanted but at this point with subpar food we just weren't interested in waiting for something else that wasn't going to be any good. Kids did get a desert and we did get cocktails to go. The main restaurant manger did stop by and also apologized and gave her card incase there was any issue with the child with the allergy. This alone knocks up the score a notch, but restaurants you rate on food and there is no reason to stop here. Save the headache and your money because as any disney thing it's not cheap. Kinda feel bad giving a bad review after the mangers trying but man the food was bad.....and that is why you go to a restaurant.
Their breakfast was delicious. No waiting, just yummy food before you hit the parks for the day! We had all American and the avocado toast.
Decent bar and grill with standard sports pub menu. Good table service, but the host CMs seemed bored and irritated with their jobs. (Not very Disney-like) This place is large and seems it can handle a crowd. Reservations were availability and would probably be a good idea during busier times of the day/year. Multiple screens to watch your favorite sports and the staff seemed willing to find what you wanted to watch. (There were many folks from the UK when I visited cheering on a soccer game.) Not a destination restaurant by any means. Not bad, just not spectacular. If you do have a game you can't miss while at WDW, this is a good choice. You don't have to be a hotel guest to go here if you have a reservation.
Unfortunately I have to say, this was probably one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. We work at a sports bar back at home so we understand the difficulty and the challenges that come with the job. Customer service is no joke. However, our server had a horrible attitude as if we were a waste of her time. Since my friend and I are both bartenders back at home, our intention was to order a cocktail or two, but we just came back from a long day at Universal and just got to our hotel in Disney and we were just exhausted and dehydrated and ordered water. Water is obviously free and doesn’t help the check increase which equals to, usually, a larger tip. However, a customer should be treated equally with as much attention, care, and with a smile; ESPECIALLY at Disney which should be “the happiest place on earth”. The server refilled our water after it being empty for a while, and never checked in on us if everything was okay. This server simply just came over with no smile, no exchange of words and filled up our water. Compare to the attention and care this server was offering the table next to us, which was a party of six who ordered full course meals and drinks, it was evident we were treated different. We always like to take care of our fellow servers and bartenders regardless of the service and we tipped her more than generously, however, we’ve never wanted to not tip someone so much in all of our dining experiences. Not until after the server saw the generous tip we offered, did this person crack a smile. “The happiest place on earth”? I think Disney should do a better job upholding their employees to this statement to in fact ensure what Disney stands for.
We ate here three times on our vacation staying at Coronado. Gary was a phenomenal waiter, always refilling our drinks and giving insight into the menu, but above all, he brought the magic of Disney to our table. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich, buffalo wings and dip were amazing. Highly recommend.
Almost identical food to quick service just across, and at the same prices - choose here every time. Would recommend booking as can be unpredictably busy even at what you might think would be a quiet time. Staff good but not especially 'magic' - nonetheless does the job and kept the husband quiet watching the TV screens!
On our recent visit to WDW, my family and I stayed at Coronado Springs (CS) Destino Tower. The Rix Sports bar is in the lower levels of the tower right next to it. Having had other breakfast options at CS we decided to try it. I must say that the experience was underwhelming and very forgettable. The only good food was that ordered by my wife, "Healthy Start", the rest of our selections were very average in quality and preparations. Our waiter seemed more interest in asking about our origins than anything else. I must also say that the ambiance of this restaurant is rather dull, not what you would expect from a Sports Bar. I hope is livelier at Lunch or Dinner times. It was somewhat difficult to book this place. Something not easy to understand since at our breakfast time between 7 and 7:40 am, we were the only guests there. My recommendation for all CS guests is to save money having other breakfast options at CS for simpler meals. Now, if you want a very full, rich, and refined breakfast meal, go to other places, such as Topolino's, Ale & Compass, Tusker House, and GF Cafe.
We ate at this restaurant while staying at the Coronado resort. Is it something I would go out of the way to go to? Probably not, but it is convenient and pretty good if you’re staying there. Our server was very kind and friendly, which is one reason for a full star! Our food came out quick and was correct, another star. It was pretty tasty at least as well. The menu didn’t have a ton of options for a sports bar I felt like. I had the Turkey club sandwich with waffle fries, but I will admit the sandwich was impractical to try and eat. I had to remove an inch of Turkey to even bite into it. There were maybe 9 fries in that small basket that were not salted or seasoned. It was a pretty good experience, but nothing grand.
Diz-data-dogs gone crazy…waitlist for breakfast w/empty restaurant…must have smart phone to get table…exclusive practices gone wrong. We’ve always enjoyed Disney…this is the last hurrah for us. If you can get in food & service are excellent.
What a wonderful experience. Most of the time I would recommend going to the parks or Disney springs for dinner, but if you are staying at Coronado springs resort, DO NOT MISS OUT ON THIS PLACE! My table had the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, Philly steak, fried mozzarella, and buffalo chicken dip. The dip was phenomenal, it had a good kick to it but also came with a ton of shredded chicken, which isn’t a normal thing anymore. The fried mozzarella was really good, as was the sauce they give you with them. My sandwich was very good with a really nice flavor and a nice kick of heat following it. The Philly steak was good, not something to write home about but good none the less. What I can’t believe is how amazing Elizabeth W, our waitress for the evening, was. She was always nearby to fill up drinks without even asking, she gave great recommendations when asked, and was genuinely nice and upbeat. I have had many great experiences in my life with wait staff but she is definitely up there as one of the best. If you have a chance to stop by here, please don’t pass it up! One of the best places I’ve eaten outside of a Disney park in the 20+ years I’ve went to WDW
