Sushi Bar Barbeque Korean

The best thing about Izziban is its location right by a lake. You get fantastic views which make for a solidly good dining experience. The all you can eat meat selection ranged from merely good to excellent, with most of them being the latter or close to it. They had a decent sushi selection as well, that is made to order. You also get a salad bar with some Korean and American offerings. It was reasonably good overall, though I wished they had greater selection overall. It would've been nice if they had steamed rice at the salad bar. The server provided attentive service at our table, and overall the quality of the food and service was satisfying. We also visited the Snowbean coffee and desert shop located right in the same building as Izziban. They have a decent selection of bingsoo shaved ice treats, coffee, and other dessert selections. And the outdoor seating was the most impressive, as you got a direct view of the lake. It is a great place to hang out after having a sumptuous meal. Overall, we were pleased with the visit, and would not hesitate to come here again.

Not great service despite not being very busy, but can overlook that with current employment climate. Not too keen on all you can eat because I knew I’d never eat 38 bucks worth of food, but it was a novelty to cook at your table, so we went for it. Filet was round and thick in the menu photo, but came out in the shape and thickness of a boot sole and tasted the same…old nasty meat, lots of grizzle and fat. Shrimp came with heads and shell on. Despite cooking for just a few minutes, the shell was almost impossible to remove. The chicken and pork were quite literally unrecognizable cuts of meat. Both the pork and chicken when held up with a fork looked like a string of clumps of something that was apparently strung together by fat and other disgusting body parts. Sauces were tasteless except the eel sauce-the only saving grace of the experience. Seaweed in sushi was tough and “stuffing” was minimal and tasteless. The grill arbitrarily went to high heat and smoke billowed out of it. Staff ran over to lower the heat and shamed us in the process. Spring roll tasted like it was stuffed with cream cheese and a puréed vegetable or two. We had to eat everything or get “fined” for “wasting food” as it says on the menu. Only a few things, such as vegetable salad, a few tasteless pasta salads, and only one item that resembled Asian food on the salad bar. Only a few things to cook with your meat on the grill, such as mushrooms and onions. Coupled with the tasteless sauces, there was nothing to even try to doctor up the flavor of the nasty meat. Automatic 18% tip was added to the bill, which is ironIc because we typically pay 20%, but the point is - no tipping options. Had to shower to get the stench of the grill smoke off of us once we got home. Couldn’t wait to brush my teeth to get the taste out of my mouth. By far the worst “culinary” experience of my life. This is not hyperbole! All you can eat must be the draw for people who like lots of food, but they must also have non functioning taste buds. I can’t believe the reviews that are positive because, while we in fact did have the Korean bar-b-que experience, the food was nothing short of disgusting. Surely we didn’t get unlucky in every aspect of our meal. I may never eat Asian food again. Thank goodness they served corona.

If you are looking for the BEST service don't look any further! They treat their customers with so much respect and very attentive.

Delicious meats and sushi. The sauces were great too! Our waiter Matthew was by far the absolute best waiter we’ve ever had anywhere. I honestly wish we didn’t live an hour away or else we’d come here for every date night as long as Matthew was working. He exhibited the type of customer service that everyone in the industry should in order for a business to be successful.

Food was good, the beef tongue was very chewy, not what I had eaten before. But they don't tell you there is a mandatory gratuity of 18 %. And, I used to work in restaurant business, it appears the staff don't get it or they only get a cut. I don't like to eat at mandatory tipping restaurants and won't return. This section is directed to the management of the resturant, I tip [to good according to wife] and I still left cash tip for the server. But I won't be back till you do away with the mandatory gratuity - only dishonest restaurants do this practice!

We order the all included prices. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Really good barbecue ans sushi. You have to tried something similar to this before you eat here. They bring you the raw foods, and you have to "grill it" yourself. The sushi is completed by the kitchen. We had something similar and the other place grill the food for us too. If you're not sure of what to do, the staffs here is very helpful. Keep the younger kids away from the hot grill. Call and reserve a table beforehand, unless you want to wait 30 to a hour for a table.

After all day at Universal we were looking forward to a nice Korean bar-b-q but upon entering I thought we were in an Asian dance club the bass from the RAP was throbbing and so loud that I had a panic attack! But they did turn it down when we asked. You MUST have a smart phone as you scan the code on the table to get the menu. We cooked our dinner ourselves on the inlaid table grill which was a wonderful experience for both of us. However, you must ask for the vegetables, they weren't offered to us. Our waiter spoke very fast and with the BOOMING music we missed most of what was said to us. The food was good, after all we cooked it. But we got the impression the BAR SCENE was more important and not the food nor the service. It was all very rushed.

Small print on the menu says all-you-can-eat option you will be automatically charged 18% gratuity, regardless of the number of people in your party, and regardless of the slow service and the mess up on your orders. Service was terribly slow even at 50% capacity. We were a party of 2. Our waiter Jeremiah messed up with one of our sushi orders. Also we ordered soda water because their regular water tastes like sewer water. So when it was time for soda water refills he brought us glasses of regular water, after about 5 minutes we were able to get his attention to ask him to correct the drinks. When he brought us soy sauce to go with our sushi the amount he brought was 1/4 of an ounce so we had to keep asking him to bring us more which took forever each time, so we had to wait before we could eat. The soy sauce is not the Kinkomann brand but some inferior less quality brand. So they are stingy on the quality and the amount they bring you each time. Also we ordered the marinated spicy chicken and the marinated sirloin. The sirloin was full of fat and was a low quality meat, so half of that wasn't eaten because the meat was fatty. They do not maintain their table BBQs because ours started smoking a lot half way into cooking the meat, it wasn't until after we were done cooking the meat Jeremiah said " I saw it smoking, it needs water added to the bottom. " Then he got a pitcher and added some water to the bottom of the grill. Our whole experience took us 2 hours and 20 minutes which is ridiculous because of the extremely slow service and disorganization of the dining area and kitchen. When we got our bill I noticed there was an automatic added gratuity of 18% but at the bottom of the bill it said parties of 6 or more will have an automatic 18% gratuity added, so I thought it was another mistake. I asked Jeremiah to explain the automatic 18% gratuity as we are only a party of 2. He said on the menu in the fine print at the bottom it states that if customers order the all-you-can-eat option for $21.99 an 18% gratuity was added. However this was not mentioned to us by him prior to ordering, and we were seriously thinking about not tipping at all because of the extremely slow service and poor quality of food. We honestly felt cheated by this restaurant's low quality everything, amd then they try to take an automatic tip on their substandard service. We will not be going back to this restaurant again. Makiado Sushi in Lake Mary offers an all-you-can-eat option and does not try to slip in an automatic gratuity in there and their service is a 1000 times better.

We drove an hour because it was recommended by a friend. Disappointed beyond words. Calamari on the buffet was ice cold we warmed it on our grill. Korean bbq sauce was sooo salty it was hardly eatable. The pork was nothing but thick bacon. I mean come on. Gratitude is included even on a two top... and they threaten you if you leave 8 ounce of food on your plate they’ll charge you another full price guest. On the good side our server was nice and pleasant. Nope never again.
