WTH is this?? So not only has regular sides went from $2 to $2.99 to now $3.99 each, they have the nerve to give me Mac n cheese in some cheap random plastic cups! One cup doesn’t equal a regular side! How is this right or even OK to serve customers with? Tin foil? Seriously? Funny how the drive thru doesn’t mention anything, you just open the bag to a surprise a block away dumbfounded. I’ve been going to this location for years and although they’ve been far from perfect in satisfaction, this takes the cake. The manager or staff that allowed this to be served to customer like this should be ashamed. Completely ignorant.
Great spot to stop with flavorful food with a tropical flare that you can't get at your local chicken joint with a hint of citrus flavors in the chicken. Was only $7.50 for a half chicken and 2 sides good value. They need to expand into the Cincinnati Ohio market and other states.
Ordered the grilled boneless breast platter, pork platter, Mac & cheese, Maduro, tomatoes and key lime pie. It was bland. No flavor except for MOJO sauce. We wouldn't even eat the key lime pie. It was WET! Picture shows exactly how we received it.
We literally drive from Dr Phillips to this location because it’s always clean, food always fresh, and the staff are extremely courteous and friendly. We always have someone come out and ask if everything is ok! Manager amazing the way she communicates with her staff. If I can give more stars, I would! Absolutely a 5 star rating!
First time to this restaurant. We had two families. We tried a variety of different items and everyone agreed the food was very good! Very fresh tasting, good portions, and reasonably priced. However the staff were not great. We were supposed to get a cookie with our kids meal and the staff insisted that they put it on our tray. They did not. When I insisted they did not they then admitted that they were actually OUT of cookies. What? Made me feel like I was trying to cheat them when all along they knew it was them. Horrible.
Awful service 2nd time this has happen. Ordered online called after sitting in pickup spot 8 for ten minutes, no answer. Then waited in drive through window for another 10 minutes for them to completely get my order wrong.
The employee was very attentive. Also, I ordered my food to go and everything that I ordered was in the bag...no problem!! The place is extremely clean and the people that work there are very friendly!!??
I walked to this location specifically to get the roast pork only to learn it wouldn't be available until after 2pm. The chicken was good but not a replacement for the pork. I've never been to a location that didn't have pork available for lunch.
What's nice about this Pollo Tropical is the customer service. While the cashier during my visit appeared to be a new hire, she was always to communicate with her supervisor or manager behind the counter and in the kitchen for help. One of her co-workers helped her as well. This was with regards to custom orders, like asking for a large size instead of a regular for the Holiday Pork Tropichops. While it was pretty loud in the kitchen, the cashier asked multiples times to repeat parts of our order to make sure she put it in right. I very much respect the effort this location puts into its operations. It's a clean restaurant and the atmosphere here is pretty good that the employees will do what's needed to get your order right. They'll also give you any sauces you request at the counter upon picking up your order.The only point of improvement I could suggest they ca⁸n make is that the line behind the kitchen takes into consideration the customized orders that the customer and cashier were on the same page on. My boyfriend ordered a Tropichop with no onions because he gets an allergic reaction eating them; his throat gets pretty itchy. For the 2 visits we had at this location, the onions were in his meal despite confirming it with the cashier at the time that it would be excluded. We took it in stride and he just gave me all his onions after we started eating in order to minimize his allergic reaction despite the juices from the onions already having been cooked into his food.Overall, great service, but just needs to work a little more on getting a 100% accuracy rate on getting orders correct each time.
Nice change of pace compared to just stopping at a standard fast food chain. The porkalachop was pretty good! The Amarillo arroz was muy Bueno!! The yuca bites were delicious, the blandest thing on the whole meal..was the pork unfortunately. Everything else was more than pleasant. Service was great, amd there sauces were amazing! If you're in the area and need a quick bite,,take this into consideration! You won't be disappointed. Less than 10 mind from the airport as well.
