We visited this charming soul food restaurant during our trip to Orlando and I must say, we made the right decision. What impressed us beyond the great food options were the staff. They were so engaging and allowed us to sample a few options before settling on their scrumptious oxtails with great flavor and tenderness. We also enjoyed their turkey wings. I almost wish I had not inquired about desserts because the red velvet and German chocolate cake just melted in your mouth. So delicious. We have found another tourist attraction to enjoy. Thanks so much for the great meals!!!
Yoooo! Ima say this…if u livin in the 407/321 area and haven’t tried this place, u sleep!!! Service was very home feeling and helpful! First time visit and I can’t lie, the cook was right…the oxtail plate was next level! We live in the 352 and the plates were def worth the trip!!! I’m not gone go on and on but just say the cook was right! We’ll be back next weekend! I got the large oxtail plate. The mrs got the large turkey wing plate! My friends and I were in town for a convention and we were looking for a place to have dinner. My friend did a Google search and found this restaurant. I got the cube steak, dressing, greens, corn and peach cobbler for dessert. The workers were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. I got full too quickly and couldn't eat my dessert. I will eat it with my leftovers today. I wish I didn't live so far away so that I could come back for more.
While the food is very good and I love supporting black-owned businesses, it is also important to remember though the customer is not always right, they do deserve respect. Every time I have ordered from P&D Soulfood Kitchen, I received a personal call that they were out of one item or another and that's understandable, they are a very successful restaurant. But my last order was altogether canceled with no explanation and it wasn't until it was about the time of delivery that GRUBHUB called me that my order had been canceled by the restaurant. Wow! I didn't expect that. I was dumbfounded by the concept that a successful restaurant listed on a food delivery site was not capable of doing deliveries. I'm sick over this, but I will not be ordering from P&D Soulfood Kitchen again. I will miss their food for it is delicious but I will not support a business that does not value my support their establishment.
When I say delicious, I mean DELICIOUS!!!!! I was suppose to take the picture before starting to eat. It smelled & looked so delicious, I couldn't wait, I had to taste it. DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS! DELICIOUS!
Food did not have any seasoning as you see i added my own it still didnt help. I was starving and just ate my sides the catfish nuggets was a hecks no never again. Some pieces tasted like it was still in ocean. My wife did not eat hers at all she did eat the shrimp she said they were okay. With all the 4 and 5 stars and the line being out the door while I was there I was expecting better.
I usually always order from here and have it delivered but the other day I decided to take a drive and go order it in person. The staff is amazing.... they are very friendly and the food is always good, And they are decently priced... I definitely recommend this place....
