One of the toughest dinner reservations to get, Ohana.is worth the experience, especially if you have not been there before. At about $50 per person plus gratuity it is good value for you money at Disney. There are restaurants that are cheaper and certainly restaurants that are more expensive, but considering Ohana is all you can enjoy, the value is there (much like Biergarten in EPCOT's Germany). What is Outstanding: The views, especially if you can get a window seat. The Chicken, the Noodles, and the Dessert. If the Noodles, Chicken, and dessert where the only items on the menu, it would still be worth the trip. What is Very Good: The Shrimp, the Potstickers, the Wings, the Broccoli, the alcoholic drink selections. What is Neutral: The service. It is not bad, but the servers are on a constant run to continually bring more food. That is great, but if you need something, they can be tough to flag down. What is Bad: The only thing I can list is the steak. Each visit (3 times in the last 5 years) the steak is chewy and tough. Not sure what kind it is but if there is one thing to change, this is it. If you can get a reservation, grab it, enjoy the Polynesian, and some great food.
We dined here a few days ago and the only booking we could get was 3:30pm which I believe is the first seating for dinner. We got a drink af the bar first, Pina colvas of course. We were served by the power duo of Angela &cliff! Both were amazing! Cliff is just fantastic, he really is what the company is about. Sharing his Disney journey with us was very inspiring to hear and I wish him all the best as well as Angela. The food was incredible, you will not leave hungry that’s for sure. The pork dumplings were incredible, the salad dressing was beautiful and oh my the desert was just to die for. There was a live singer going around also which was a great touch to the atmosphere. Thank you again.
This is my husband’s favorite so with a party of 9– my sister and I got up at 3am—on our “60 day reservation mark” and she booked a reservation for 5 and I booked for 4 at the same time— then we arrived we asked if they could put our tables together and they accommodated. ( A tip I read online for people with large parties). We got into all of our favorite places!! It did not disappoint! Amazing! We told our waiter that our special needs son would only eat the bread and steak that’s on the menu and he specifically brought 3 platters just for him while everyone cheered! We had so much fun and the food is spectacular. Save room for dessert—it’s awesome. Tip—for drinks get the Backscratcher. It comes with a bamboo backscratcher that all the kids wanted which just made us order more drinks—Lol. Be careful though it tasted amazing and goes down easy but it hits you—hard. Totally worth it!!
My family and I enjoyed a nice breakfast at Ohana this week. We have always enjoyed it and the food and service did not disappoint. My only reason for not giving it a 5-star was due to not having the characters and the entertainment as they have had in the past. Time to bring that back Disney. Great place to eat!
I will say ohanas circa early 2000 was waaaaaay better the food we got was good! My biggest complaint is we were celebrating our 15th anniversary and we asked several times for a window seat and they said they couldn’t. We sat and saw a small 2 seater open by the window and literally the party behind us got that seat!! I was so upset because we could have been seated there! I didn’t raise a fuss because I didn’t want to spoil the evening but then again I witnessed a lady throw a tantrum to get moved and it happened so maybe it pays to be a Karen
This used to be our favorite meal and on this trip it was our least favorite. Absolutely NOT worth the money. If you loved Ohana before, you will not like it now. Nobody in our party of 13 enjoyed the meal enough to make the expense worth while. That was people brand new to ohana and seasoned veterans. The steak was inedible. No flavor, tough and chewy, I’ve eaten better tasting steak at the Sizzler. Shame on whoever decided to change a perfectly delicious meal. We dreamed of this meal, it was the most important dining reservation we made and we will not be returning.
Steak was hard and chewie. This place has really gone downhill. Can't hardly get a reservation and for what, could have spent my money for a nice meal. Waiter acted like he cared less. Won't be back.
I can't believe we have never eaten at Ohana before. We will definitely be back. It would be perfect for arrival day dinner when you are not in a park. We ate at 4:00 during the hottest and most crowded time at Magic Kingdom. There is a ton of food. We liked all of it, but the most outstanding were the potstickers, noodles, steak and shrimp. Brandon was an excellent server. Can't wait to go back.
Relax the food is coming, and coming. At first I was incorrectly disappointed as the I mistakenly though the appetizer was the main course. That initial thought was shattered as skillets of shrimp, steak, and chicken were piled on the table to replace the noodles and chicken wings.Food quality was fantastic, I ate my fill of steamed Shrimp that had a fantastic seasoning coating the outside. The steak was cooked to a good medium. All served family style so bring the family!Following dinner you get a fantastic desert so save space. The “Bread Pudding” is unlike any bread pudding I have been exposed to in the UK, this was really good, served with ice cream and it had a pineapple flavor that was unique. The only drawback was we didn’t plan enough time to fully enjoy the food, live Ukulele player and view.Of note if your still reading this review as it is quite lengthy…. Make sure your whole party shows up to be seated. We were split up and they held our table and were polite but I could tell it caused scheduling issues.
The food, service, and atmosphere were exceptional!!! We dined there for dinner and breakfast. We were really hoping for the characters and games to be back when we went, but everything else was so good that it was still worth every penny spent. The first photo is the dessert from dinner. The others are from breakfast. They bring so much food. You get to try a little of everything and they will bring you more of anything you ask for. We were sent off with 4 boxes of leftovers from dinner, and 3 boxes from breakfast. I'm craving everything right now, as I write this review.
