When I walked into Nick's Family Diner, I though Guy Fieri, will be coming out of the kitchen any minute. This is a perfect location for Diners, drive-in, and Dives. All the hallmarks of a greasy spoon, although to be fair a greasy spoon doesn't sound like a great place to eat.Nick's however is everything you love about a family Diner. Clearly the wait staff has been there for a while and you have a group of regulars that keep coming back and with good reason. We had the chicken salad melt (ask for it with grilled onions), and a Tuna Melt, with a side of cole slaw and potatoe salad. Both where spectacular and worth the drive if you don't live close. Our daughter had the blueberry pancakes and I would put them up against any pancakes in Central Florida.It is always a gem to find good food, good value, and great service.As I'm writing this review I wish I had another Chicken salad melt.
My husband and I absolutely love the food. We had the shrimp and grits. I think it was the best we ever had. Our waitress was Sheryl. She was so sweet and made sure we were happy. When we come back to visit Orlando, we will make sure to dine here again.
Old Pizza Hut Red Roof turned into a very nice diner. Clean and comfortable. The food and service were very good
The reason for only 3 stars is, they had wonderful customer service as well as the food had good flavor, but it was greasy. My order was not made correctly. For the amount of money spent on just 2 meals, you would think that they would make your order correctly like you asked. I asked for lite onions and peppers. There was more onions and peppers then home fries. I asked for my eggs to be cooked over easy, but they were not. There wasn't really any yolk for my toast. The grits were to cheesy but had good flavor. Although I like how they put the cheese in the middle of the grits to make sure the cheese would melt! I asked if they would butter my toast for my breakfast sandwich, which was over loaded with butter. From other reviews I read, I thought this place would be delicious! Maybe they had an off day.

Great old school diner with amazing specials. Service is a well oiled machine and diner is always clean. Best diner in Orlando IMO.
I’ve been coming here for years with my husband and the food NEVER disappoints. The staff is raw and real and work and get along like a family. We love it! My favorite is the Shrimp & Grits ❤️
Great pancakes. Eggs nice and fluffy. Family loved it . My son loved his huge Pancakes. And wife loves her home fries
