Saw a couple ahead of me order a large oxtails, they were served by Lynn who gave them a healthy plate. So I decided to order a large oxtail, unfortunately I ended up getting served by a young light skin women with glasses. As she was making my plate, I notice she was piling it up with rice. I had to immediately stop her, as I do not need all that rice. Nevertheless, when she got to the oxtail she put about 3-4 pieces on the plate and said that was the portion for a large. I was in complete shock cause again the couple ahead of me literally just ordered the same meal and received a complete different portion then mine. I argued with the women serving me, stating that the previous server just served the same meal and the customers walked out happy. She told me, if I wanted more it would be an additional $9.00 on top of the $21.00 bringing it to a total of $30.00 for a decent plate of a large oxtail. Which I find quiet absurd comparing to other Jamaican restaurants who are serving the same dish for much less. Anywho, I ended up paying the $30.00 in order for me to get the worth of the plate but I am very dissatisfied with the service and price for the dish at this location. So therefore, I will not be returning back. I hope this review finds pleasure in whomever is considering ordering oxtails from this place.
Nice casual atmosphere, customers and staff very nice. Curry Goat plate I had with rice and beans, jamaican style cole slaw, was very tasty!!! Looking forward to going back along with a friend. Little hidden away jewel.?
First time attending had patty which was not fresh. Was a little annoyed but will revisit to have other dishes. Servers especially the cashier were great. Humble soft spoken and answered all questions. The cashier was very very nice to my daughter and self even had few jokes. Overall clean environment and even tho wasn't please with patty I'll definitely give another shot
Very disappointed! Almost every Friday I stop at Negril after work to get a large Goat soup. But after yesterday I wont be returning It was filled with not so small bones a red substance floating on top the flavor was off and not the savory soup I loved.
Food was just ok. Service was good, but not very polite. The atmosphere just didn't feel Caribbean, Although I would consider making it my go to west Indian spot
The food is good but the service is terrible the other night I chose to go to Love Birds next door just to avoid the attitude, it was the worst mistake of my life the food at love birds was horrible.I wish I had just sucked it up and dealt with the attitude at least I know the food would be good.Tonight I came to NegrilThe lady at the register with the orange short cut and ALL the lashes is rude and obnoxious for no reason. She needs an attitude adjustment because it's a shame I chose go to next door to the disgusting food just to avoid the attitude I get everytime I checkout at NegrilTHE FOOD IS GOOD DESPITE ALL THE ATTITUDE THOUGH
Service is horrible. I tried the food here once and it tasted really bad. Maybe not all their food is horrible but I did not like it.
I order quick lunch to go from here at least 2 times a week. The young lady at the counter is always pleasant and attentive. The food is okay and what you would expect from a carribean take-out place, just much better than most places on this side of town. Golden Krust certainly cannot touch this place. Lines can be extremely long in the morning. I've been lucky lately, however.Three stars only because it is a take out place and nothing more, nothing less.
2 plates were ordered for 16.39 a plate. No plantains, salad or veges. This is ridiculous!o
Best jerk chicken I've tasted outside Jamaica. Visited my mom in Orlando and she recommended this place. The food was so good, I took some back to Jersey with me. I definitely recommend this restaurant!
