My boyfriend and I love trying dim sum places that offer small plates of dumplings, steamed buns, etc. So far, I have to say, the food we’ve tried here was SO good. We ordered the roast pork steamed dumplings, fried pork dumplings, and the fried rice paste plates. The steamed buns were FILLED with pork and it so flavorful. The fried pork dumplings were my boyfriend’s favorite. The flavor of the pork was great and the textures were perfect. Lastly, the fried rice paste plate that has a longer name was a new find for us and yet was so good. They put some type of soy sauce on it as soon as it’s placed on your table and it makes it. Definitely will come back to try more of their plates!!
ALWAYS CALCULATE your own orders, because when they give you the bill it’s more than what it should be. For example, the M value of dim sum has apparently gone up but the price is NOT displayed on the order ticket. So when I received a bill that’s a few dollars MORE they claim price has gone up and won’t honor the price on order ticket. On a different day, the bill was MORE than expected and turns out they double charged an order. ALWAYS CHECK YOUR OWN BALANCE!!!Also, service is so slow! Food comes out at random times, not all within 10-15 minutes. By the time you’re done eating the first wave, you’re too full to eat what they forgot to bring out 45 minutes later and the food ends up in boxes. How often should I wave someone down for the same item???
This is the second time I’ve tried Ming’s, the first time I walked in right before closing and they were rude, I ended up leaving just because of timing and the attitude I received. I visited a second time long before closing, the waitress was very rude and handed 1 Chinese menu and 1 did sum menu for 5 adults, we asked for more menus and she brought just one back. Once we ordered the dim sum she stood by the table asking what else we wanted, we asked for a few more minutes and she continued to just stand there and wait beside the table. We decided to get our dim sum and just leave. Save yourself some time, there are plenty of top rated Chinese restaurants around the area.
Visited Orlando over president's weekend and happened upon Ming's Bistro for dim sum. A wide variety of choices and everything was very satisfying. Service was quick and pleasant. We were very happy with everything and would visit again.
1st time there. Not really busy. Hard time understanding waitress. But the Food was delicious, portion sizes more than adequate, they only serve hot tea ( not green tea)**sign on door..delivery via grubhub**
I have visited this restaurant so many times and it is always for Dim Sum. I even brought my family here once. I loved when they used to do Dim Sum carts on the weekend.I have even been back during the week since 2020 and not had any problem. What I have learned a lesson though, Sunday Dim Sum cart service isn't the same. It's not cart service really, I think some of the staff left (or has been let go), and we were left waiting for at least 10 minutes before we were addressed. Again I have been back since 2020 but we went during the week but it is odd to have not seen one server we could recognize on a Sunday. Also though they were busy, it was weird no one explained toy friend who waited a few minutes for me to park, what the protocol was.I will try them again maybe on a weekday but possibly they may have lost their good people to Peter's Kitchen (we have seen a few people that used to work here go there). We agreed that next weekend Dim Sum we are going to Peter's Kitchen.
Quick service and decent food! Close enough to real Dim Sum! Definitely will be back!
Not sure what to make of this restaurant. It was great when Ming owned it years ago. Then it had several change of ownership with quality changing with each owner. Sometimes good sometimes awful. I’ve eaten here 3x in the past 6 months and it’s definitely trending up. I’ve been pleasantly surprised. The only reason I don’t give it 4 stars is cleanliness. While the food has been good, atmosphere has to also be factored in. The restaurant just is dungy. They finally got rid of those godawful unsanitary seat covers. Thank you, but the black ceilings and filthy floors are just not very inviting.
This was our first time here and it was a very good experience. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean.Everything we ordered was very flavorful and fresh. Our favorite was the eggplant stuffed with shrimp. The serving sizes were just right for the prices. We will definitely come back!
Don’t any one go to this restaurant they very bad service we went there waiting in line for table of five people about 30 minutes there were one couple and three people ahead of us. There were a group of young Chinese girl come after us and asking are you waiting for the table I go yes than they went to talk to waitress and get there table. I was so upset went to talk them they act like they don’t understand.I did tell them that I will give very good reviews fffff.
