A picture is worth a thousand words, so here’s three thousand words. When you sit at the bar and your drinks look like this, it typically indicates that the service was less than stellar. I’ve attached the top of the receipt so you can match it up to the time, as I’m literally writing this review as I still sit here, hoping to get some attention, since I’ve been needing a refill for quite a while now. Nope, I don’t think I’m getting that refill…I’d say maybe next time, but we probably won’t coke come back.?
Amazing food. Thr truffle fries were some of the best. I had the chicken sandwich which was just Amazing and great flavor. The kids had chicken fingers and fries which were so crispy and delicious.
Today was our first time here and we absolutely loved it! Our sever Mariel was extremely nice and she told us about her favorites plates and she nailed it. We ordered the shrimp and grits, and the wings (buffalo/ honey mustard) For dessert we got the Tres leches.
My wife and I have been going to Marlows Tavern on the average once a week for over a year. The last time we where there the person taking names said it would be about 20 to 25 minutes to be seated,we decided to wait. After a half hour and we where the next to be seated,they where not seating us even though I could see four open tables. I asked the guy why we where not being seated. He said that the manager has to tell him to seat people. So I asked the manager and he said that he didn't have enough servers to wait on people. when we got there all the tables where full and somebody was waiting on them. I asked him if we could at least be seated. He said no,we would have to wait until he had a server. So he didn't seem to care that we had been standing for a half hour he was going to make us stand longer even though there was empty tables. WE WALKED OUT AND WILL NOT BEING GOING BACK.
Food is good prices reasonable and service is good. Everything from burgers to steaks are great. We usually get take out because it gets really crowded for our taste. But we do dine in quite a bit. Walk in are usually seated almost immediately.
Server was very sweet and accommodating. To be honest, the entire staff was very attentive. While I was not very impressed with the center cut sirloin and white cheddar grit cakes (both were overcooked), the asparagus fries were amazing and the grilled chicken platter my husband ordered was delicious. Family friendly and the Pinot Gris was just right!
The portions were small and the salmon cooked well while I ordered medium rare. My son's steak was well done when it was ordered medium rare. The flavor and quality were very good but the portion size and lack of care about the doneness ordered took away from the experience.
Excellent service and good food. Me and my bro had burgers and fries and asparagus fries.The burgers were smaller than you would expect for the price. The fries were delicious and the asparagus was nice too.Our server was awesome ! Attentive and helpful.The atmosphere was a bit confusing. The decor is very low key. The pictures kind of just blend into the background.Overall it was good but nothing really stood out for me to say "I really need to go to Marlow's".
Great ambiance! Loved the staff and how friendly they were to our group. Probably a great date night spot but I went with a group of friends! Drinks were not strong. It they tasted great. The burger was fantastic! Highly recommended!
We went to this location the first time after a movie and the service was great! The food good. Had a toTortilla salad with blackened shrimp. Portions small - 5 shrimp but delicious. If portion a little more generous would give 5/5.
