As a Puerto Rican, whose mom is one of the best cooks in the world, I'm always looking for a top-notch Puerto Rican restaurant. This one in Orlando definitely made the cut. They have a number of Puerto Rican dishes, as well as some Cuban dishes. We tried the rice with roasted pork, the oxtail with rice and beans, the ropa Vieja which is a Cuban meat dish, and some of the pastries. All the meat was tender and well seasoned, the rice and beans were cooked to perfection. And as you can tell from the pictures the choices can be pretty much endless. Great place to just go in and pick something up, or stay awhile. I also ordered a cortado coffee which was delicious. There is handicap parking, and the inside is wheelchair accessible. The one thing that was difficult is that the counters were you put in the order are a little high. I think the person has trouble hearing me because my wheelchair was sort of low asking for it to the counter. Other than that this made over gas station is serving a serious hot meal!

This place is absolutely amazing and I definitely recommend!

The earlier you get here, the better. The food here is amazing and you will leave full. If you get here later in the day, you will slowly start to lose items to select from as they make all the main food items in the morningThis is no longer the cheaper lunch item it used to be however. Prices have gone up and will again in June 2022.This is still one of the best restaurants of its kinds. This is the bar.

They have 20 plus lazy employees in the front but now they want you to do a line to order an empanada? A line to order something simple that doesn’t require you to do line for , since you ain’t ordering from the line of food… they waste ur time but caters to their platano ppl !! Suck never again ! We used to stop there like 5 times a week Not no more ,because they nasty and rude !! Plus I don’t get paid to stand in a line for a can of soda!!

For a quick grab and go full of authentic spanish food it is worth the hype. I enjoyed every bit of my meal. The dirty rice was fluffy and had no problem soaked up the sauce from the chicken with sauteed onions and peppers I had over it. The plantains mixed well with the seasoned dish and added a sweet treat to the meal as always. I highly recommend you check this place out.

Their prices have gone up drastically, but I guess everything is getting expensive these days. Food is pretty good, sometimes a bit greasy, but they serve large portions, and have a variety of different meats and rices to chose from, daily. Come with patience, because this place gets packed at times. You can eat in or take it to go.

Hands down one of the best spots for ropa vieja!!!This place is always busy and for a damn good reason, super tasty authentic food!

Both the service and the food is fantastic , you pay by the ounce for your choice of entree , rice comes with the meal and they're very generous . The place is always busy but the lines move fast so don't let scare you off , They have plenty of people to help you through the line .

I give this place 5 stars, inside was nice and clean! Let’s talk about options! They must have about 6 different options of rice and amazing choices of meat and fish. It was so hard to choose from but I went with the arroz and gondules with pernil (pork) and it was absolutely amazing. My fiancé got white rice with carne guisado and he said the meat was nice and tender, seasoned VERY WELL! Definitely homey Puerto Rican food. The customer service was amazing, they move fast while still giving you the best service. Definitely will be back!

love it great food and service clean place
