Wow what an amazing meal. This place is a classic staple in Orlando and we always wanted to try it. The service was spectacular and the food amazing!
I went for a work/dinner drug seminar. I had the tile fish that was so tasty and flaky and the mashed potatoes melted in the mouth. The soup of the day was very good also. For dessert I had the crepes that brought it all home for me. Total home run!!!
Trading with a trusted account manager is what can make your dreams come through. For me patience Adamson has the best trading strategies to win. I never believed on any post recommending online trading until I gave a try and the outcome was great for me. Making $6750 out of $1000 was a whole lot of profit for me. I believe the only positive of this restaurant was the very warm welcome from the lady hostess and also from the server. Both we’re truly genuinely nice. The rest was 1 star. We are such foodies and tonight we kinda force our self because it was our 4 year wedding anniversary ( very nice touch complimentary champagne glass) very disappointed. First error was, we ordered a $50 bottle of red wine. We requested the one on the menu Cabernet Sauvignon (my husband favorite) The server brought D available Cabernet Sauvignon without telling us it was not the one on the menu after he opened it I have realized that it was not the one listed on the menu and he said yes this one is one that was brought today it’s not on the menu yet so because I felt bad I accepted the $50 bottle of wine but taste it like Kool-Aid but after a full day of work I truly need a glass of wine and I didn’t want to waste a bottle so I excepted to drink the wine that was not on the menu the wine was called Papi it’s a nine or $10 version cheap wine from Chile. I would say that the appetizer was OK the shrimp were perfectly cook but the scallop were definitely frozen scallops and not fresh for the main course I wanted their braised scallops but they were not available so I ordered their duck which was not enjoyable at all I only ate it because I was hungry and it was 8:45PM, they’re mashed potato tasted like mashed potato with no seasoning at all and the carrots were almost raw carrots. The Grand Marnier soufflé was actually good … again the people that serve us were very nice but this was our first time and definitely our last time. For $240 with the tip, this restaurant is trying to be a gastronomique restaurant with gastronomic price but is definitely far from being gastronomic. the place is also very old, for an example when you go to the bathroom you can see that the wall are actually rusted and painted with probably black spray can, very sad and one of many details that this restaurant needs so much love. Not our suggestion and or recommendation. It was also warm felt like there was no ventilation, no ambiance music until the dessert because we requested ambient music and the cherry on the Sundae the server pour the entire champagne flute on our table by mistake. we understand where all human but this should not be happening. The server was also the only one for the entire restaurant, long wait on everything which is not the employees fault but the employer. Disappointed overhaul.sorry for Typo, Siri was used because this disappointment was too long to write.
Should have read the recent reviews. 2 years ago we had fabulously delicious meals. Last night was very disappointing. Soup was tepid, Made reservations specifically asking about their grand marnier souffles. Got there and there was no pastry chef. No soufflés. Had talked of having those soufflés again for two years. Had coq au vin there two years ago, it was superb. Last night the coq au vin was something I would have been embarrassed to serve if I cooked it for guests.
Recently visited this restaurant after a 2-year absence during COVID. Le Coq Au Vin has always been my go-to restaurant reserved for special occasions given its slightly higher than average cost. What used to be a fantastic experience is much less so but to be fair, COVID has had a horrible effect on the restaurant's ability to get certain menu items (e.g. duck, crabmeat, etc.) and so they have had to scale down the menu to reflect that. And unable to get ample and experienced wait staff adds to the problem. I would strongly recommend that if you go, keep these things in mind and hopefully, they can eventually bounce back to their former high standard.
I've gone here a few times for magical dining. Great deal if you can get a reservation. Authentic French food in a quiet and intimate setting. Probably the only place for authentic French food in Orlando outside of the restaurants in the France Pavilion at Epcot.
The food is awesome. The service was great. I would recommend this restaurant.
