I order from this place three time thinking okay because today the cook didn’t feel well to cook but the chicken is always dry and crispy AF. The rice and bean were good but my main problem is with the chicken. It had to no favor like they didn’t use Epis and 100000% don’t recommend the cake it was dry and no sugar and didn’t have any rim for a Haitian cake. Like I said rice and bean good, chicken was dry and 1000000% don’t get the cakes.
I didn’t walk, I RAN to write a review for Kreyol Kafe! My only experience with Haitian food has been either homemade, made with lots of love or at chef creole in Miami. So I had high expectations. The griot plate I ordered was not only filled to the rim but was PERFECTLY cooked and fresh. The owner greeted me with the biggest warm smile when I walked in and was so sweet and attentive. If you keep looking for a good Haitian spot, look no further. This is it. ?
The next best thing until I try all the dishes in Haiti. I’ve been to quite a few Haitian restaurants from South Florida to Central Florida and taste, price, quantity and can’t forget about quality Kreyol Cafe and Bakery has it all. Lunch was ? and that means Delicious! Griot is a must have!!!
Sauce pwa was watery and salty. White rice was okay. but the rice portion to sauce pwa was bad. Vegetable legume was spoiled could have been tasty but no matter what bite I took I can taste the old veggie. they prolly dnt sell allot.
the food was very delicious and i just wanted to eat more and more.. I am such a foodie and I am a big hatian foodie. balan pese grio with slices of onions green pepper red peppers i cant get enough !

I stumbled upon this sophisticated cafe. Smell of home cooking came back in my memories. Clean, uncluttered, clear simple view of the menu and food cases. The cashier/server was kind enough to allow me to taste a food item that I was not (readily)familiar. I will be returning. The food is plenty and quite delicious. Bon appetit!
Great Haitian spot. Great customer service, super authentic, definitely have a Marie and Esther back there. My Haitians know what I mean?
The soup joumou was terrible, the broth was completely watered down, the meat was chewy and fatty, and lastly, the soup had absolutely no flavor. It’s sad because this place use to have such great soup joumou, I would go every New Year’s day to this place for great soup. They must have a new staff….Campbell’s soup from a can is honestly better than this…
I ordered twice through Ubereats and it was packaged and delivered quickly, ahead of the estimated time actually. The first time, I ordered the stewed goat and djon djon(black rice). The rice was some of the best djon djon I've had anywhere. I'm not sure which cut of meat they order at the butcher but the goat had many bones and some skin on the meat. Ive never had haitian goat cooked this way before with skin on it and so many bones, so it was different, but the flavor was good and came with enough sauce. The goat meal is a bit pricey through the app($20) and if not for my uber coupon I would not purchase it. The second time I ordered the griot and diri kole which is rice cooked with I believe it was pinto beans. This was not my fav. The griot was dry and hard and I did not like the rice, but the taste is subjective so someone else might love it. I would not order it again butWould absolutely still try other menu items. Next time I would try the legume and white rice since legume is most haitians specialty.Update: I ordered several more dishes from here since my review. The manager needs to do some quality control in the kitchen and literally taste everyone's food. I ordered djon djon rice and I couldnt even finish eating it, it did not taste good at all. It was like night and day from the first time I tried it. Similar to the mixed rice and beans that I did not like. The gravy was also flavorless and the pikliz was literally a few pieces of cabbage. If you say there is only one cook in the kitchen, I would not believe it. There is someone back there that should not be, and does not want this restaurant to prosper. The food will literally taste like a completely different person cooked it their own way, which makes this location inconsistent. One day you might get good food and on another day you may get something that is not restaurant quailty Haitian food.Since then, Ive only ordered white rice which has been really good. I wouldnt order any other rice, just to be safe. The fried goat and fried turkey have been good both times Ive ordered it. The legume is superb.
