The gentleman there (who I believe was the owner) was very kind. He was expedient and the food was amazing. He even gave us an item on the house which I had never tried before and became a new favorite - the Galbi. It was tender and so flavorful. I am a fan of japchae and have had it many places and it was very authentic in my opinion. When the noodles are cooked as much as they were it’s essential to serve the vermicelli with white rice for texture, which is just what I received. My mother loves bibimbap and was very pleased to receive it in a hot clay pot, a way that we rarely get it in the states but makes all the difference in the world. The hot pot both cooks the fresh egg yolk when you stir it and makes the rice crispy, adding both flavor and texture to the meal. I could hear how happy she was while eating it because the flavors were spot on, with the delicious gochujang based sauce. My sister had the mandu-guk (dumpling soup) and said it was very flavorful and there was a lot of it. The Mandu dumplings were fried crispy and the filling was delicious. My niece had spicy ramen - which I didn’t get a picture of before it was devoured, and the owner was very accommodating when we asked if it could be made with no seafood since she dislikes it. It came just as we asked and she was very happy with it. Overall it was a wonderful experience. We just moved to South Carolina but are planning to frequently visit Orlando, and it was amazing to find such a gem. We were originally planning to go to another Korean restaurant we know of in the area, but were enticed by the offerings here at the deli/food court area of the Lotte market and we are very glad we made the decision to stop. 10/10.
I got the #19 beef bulgogi and it was delicious! The veggies were nicely cooked and the rice was cooked to perfection. The pricing was decent and so was the speed and service. Overall, I highly recommend if it's your first time to the Lotte Plaza.
Amazing food, perfect portions & great prices. Very authentic. I love coming to this plaza. All the restaurants are good with so many food options to choose from but Joen is definitely my fave ❤️
Quick stop korean food! Excellence seafood pancake~~~definitely coming back!Service?????Food ????Price ??
This place is located inside Lotte Korean Market in the food court. The food court is a fairly busy and very crowded. My friends and I ordered some drinks and we had our kids sit at a table adjacent from Joen waiting for our order. The owner of Joen comes up to our kids and started yelling at them and saying they are being too loud and told me that our kids are making her lose business. Let me remind you again that this is a very busy food court, and she probably doesn't have any business because the food taste terrible and it's over priced. If I could, I would rate this place with a zero. If you plan on visiting this place, just leave your kids at home.
First off the food is excellent and the staff is friendly. The reason for the 3 is portion size. I ordered a #9 hot bi bim bap with beef. I know the price of meat has gone up but the amount of meat they put on my meal was crazy. My dog gets more meat from table scraps.I used love this place, but if this is how they're going to save money I won't be back.
I ordered kimchi tofu soup. I can easily make this but I was out shopping, passing through on my way back to Jacksonville. Decided to give this place a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. Tasted exactly how it should. Next time I’m in town, I’ll definitely try something else on the menu.
Ate here Friday, Oct. 29, 2021 right before the Porter Robinson - nurture live show down the road. Ordered beef bulgogi, and the food was very watery and ok-tasting at best. I had never had beef bulgogi that wet before. The side dishes were ok. It's in the Lotte Market Plaza food court, so not sure if that plays a role in quality (food court setting vs. stand-alone restaurant).I asked for a water cup because there wasn't anywhere to get free water in the vicinity, so one of the employees gave me an empty tiny styrofoam cup. Couldn't fill it up anywhere. I had to ask the Filipino restaurant (Taglish) for water. Eventually when my food was ready, I got a free bottle of water from Joen, which warrants this being two stars instead of one. This restaurant is a pass.
Galbi and Seafood bimbap are very good here.
Nice selection. Seafood ramen and mul naengmyun were delicious
