Hanamizuki is one of my favorite restaurants in Orlando. With such a wide variety to choose from, my personal favorites are the yakimeshi fried rice (only 5 bucks per order). My table also got the sukiyaki hotpot which can be split between two or more people. The hotpot comes with beef and an assortment of vegetables cooked in front of you and for just a few extra bucks you can add udon noodles too like I did. I’ve never been disappointed by Hanamizuki and they will continue getting my business as long as they are open!
The owner is not Japanese anymore, or at least owner/chef changed. This is my second times to visit here as my first time experience pretty good. However, this times is disappointed. I am an Asian American and a foodie knows Japanese food. The salmon rice bowl is a regret to order as the steamed rice is unfortunately hard to chew, which is assumed to be soft but not mashed. the salmon was prepared a few days ago so the taste you can imagine. The worst is the salmon egg which smells coming from a dead fish. The hot pot is fairly good regarding the quality, size, price and service. Not recommend if you are looking for authentic Japanese food.
If you are looking for authentic Japanese food, this is a place for you. Love it.
I checked out Hanamizuki and it was amazing! The sushi was so fresh, and it was just as delicious as I had it in Japan. The food served at this restaurant is authentic. In fact, we loved it so much that we went twice! High quality food at a great location, along with wonderful service. I will definitely be coming back here whenever I visit Orlando.
Atmosphere was just clean and bery green and little outdated.. however, the food was amazing, had this for dinner and had to make reservation for next day lunch.Highly recommend this place for Japanese food lovers.
The servers were the only good thing about this place. The staff was so respectful and helpful. They’re the only reason I give two stars. The food was disgusting for the price. It was served cold and was unseasoned. The spring rolls were freezer burnt and served cold in the middle. I couldn’t even finish half of it.
Very nice and tasty food. If you want to taste some authentic Japanese cuisine and don't have time to travel. These are the closest japanese food you can find around here.
The food was amazing, and it was quaint and intimate. The fish was fresh and portions were generous.
“This place was very quiet and had dark lighting while eating there. I thought it was a relaxing setting to eat some Japanese food, depending on your mood! The food came within 15 minutes and was very tasty. The sushi rolls were mainly around $5 per 6 rolls. I would definitely recommend eating at Hanamizuki Japanese Restaurant if you are in Orlando and are looking for some delicious Japanese food ! “— Chloe
Fabulous “hidden gem”, authentic japanese food in town! Personally rank this place no.1 in Orlando! The sashimi was beyond my expectation and near what I had when I was travelling in Japan. The sushi was also excellent, and really want to try uni and other fishes next time. The Udon was so umami that tasted like “mom’s homecook”. Very well done. The restaurant’s atmostphere is quite like the restaurant in Tokyo, and the service is the one of the best compared with other restaurants. Will try the sukiyaki next time for sure!
