Walked in to grab a bite before an Orlando City match. It was extremely busy there as there were other things going on.The line moved fairly quickly and the burrito was decent. Our group was invited to sit by a nice couple who was getting ready to go. Basically, the place is kind of small so seating runs out on a busy Saturday and no outside sitting area.I didn’t see anyone wiping down the tables as people left them, so take that for what you will. Did I like my food, sure. Just take it to go is what I suggest.
Small hole in the wall, went for taco Tuesday, We ordered 6 tacos all the way, The beef was flavourful but the chicken was bland. Average of 5 dollars per taco. Even though there was a lot of people, it was a nice atmosphere, homeless people all over the sidewalks close by, so ladies...bring your men with you to be safe!
It is hole in the wall place I really thought that the tacos would be great the chicken taco was below average taco bell has better, the fish taco a little better, there is poor ventilation so the place smelled and when I got out that same smell was in my clothes honestly a bit dissapointed I really like hole in the wall places
Being originally from Texas, our taco standards are high, and Gringos Locos fits the bill! Kalli recommends the Guaco Tacos, while Matt loves the Fish Tacos. They also offer burritos, beer, and sides!
Look, if you're drunk and its late and you feel like burning a hole in your pocket this is your place. Every time I have been here I have left disappointed. I tried to give them another chance yesterday and got 2 street tacos. That is a protein choice, cilantro, onion, and a lime in a corn tortilla. 8 dollars for that. Never again. Not only was it underwhelming but just way overpriced for what it was. If you love tacos and want a great taco please go to any mom and pop Mexican restaurant or food truck, they will have a much better quality taco at a reasonable price. Shame on you Gringos for robbing taco lovers.
I was pleasantly surprised with the menu variety. The food was pretty good, everything seemed fresh except the meat. The salsa is different and the chips are too. I was more down with the fresh style chips. I got the taco salad, which was on point but not like WOW, other person got the Double D tacos which said we're amazing. There wasn't any outdoor seating and inside gets loud with one small drunk group. Would like to see maybe some extra hot sauce offerings, choices on salsa.
Oh my goodness, where do I start? I love this place after trying it for the first time last Thursday! The food is always delicious, the staff was very friendly and lively! I don’t normally do reviews, so this is new to me, but I could not help myself! I tried something called the Border Bowl. The fried taco bowl was light and crunchy. The pork meat is to DIE for! I was told to try the Double D. I’m not a big fan of soft and crunchy together but this taco was amazing!!! I cannot believe I missed out on this gem for so long, being an Orlando resident! Definitely recommend, definitely will be back! Thank you for the great experience Gringos Locos of Downtown Orlando! (I’d post a photo, but the food was too appetizing to waste any time!)
I love tacos! I don't have the luxury to go to Mexico and even some of the most authentic Mexican eateries are sometimes an out of the way journey... but for some local, right around the corner homegrown goodness, Gringos Locos hits the proverbial spot! You can never go wrong with the DD's!!! I have to discipline myself to stop eating more than 3 or 4 in one sitting. There are at least 4 locations but this one is right downtown and usually easy to get into for service.Don't just take my word for it, get yourself some tacos!
We ordered Double D chicken tacos, empanadas (chicken, guava and cheese) and free chips and salsa. On Tuesday they give free chips and salsa , they also have selected tacos and burritos for a cheaper price. This is a pretty good taco spot to check out if you are in the area.
The place was pretty busy, but they moved pretty quick and the food was made to order. My husband had the double D's tacos and they were amazing. I had the chicken street tacos and they fell short. It wasn't enough flavor and was missing the wow factor, but with that being said they do have plenty of other items on the menu I would probably try if I came to downtown again. They did not have alot of seating and we had to stand and eat. Something to note they do have a happy hour daily.
