The food was surprisingly good and the service was pretty decent. Here lies their problem. They are severely understaffed and it shows. The restaurant is very small and cramp for a place this busy. On top of all that the owner is very RUDE. I don't care how good your food is treat people with respect. It's not our fault you're a cranky person??
If you are expecting automatic gratuity from your customers then please have a sign or put it in your menu or communicate with your customers directly that automatic gratuity is expected. This will avoid embarrassing your customer in front of everybody after paying a 80 dollar food bill. The waitress chased me out the door saying that I had to pay a 15% tip, I was surprised since a lot places don’t demand tips, non the less I still paid the tip, but I was completely embarrassed in front of everyone, which is not cool and shows very poor customer service, not to mention that the food was not that great, and my husband was not happy with the waitress. It was my first and definitely will be the last time I will come to this restaurant. I have eaten better tasting Chinese food around the US and never been treated like this. If you want to be in the restaurant business then please improve your service skills, there seriously lacking.
They are SO BEYOND RUDE& SPITEFUL. They do not properly secure the takeout food, and it spilled all in the bag piping hot. It happened few times, so I said something this time. I thought it was just an accident. When we told the lady at the front desk, who gave us the food, she said: "so, I already gave it to you" as she shrugged her shoulders. EXTREMELY RUDE, I cannot begin to say the words I held back to really tell her about herself, but it wasn't the other diner's fault to interrupt their meal with a scene and I am limited lunch time. She was as nasty as can be undeserved. I do not recommend this establishment at all. Do something they don't like, don't tip, and they will do something petty and spiteful like not secure your food for takeout. They are not even that good, for them to be acting like this. We went there because they were convenient to where we work, and we told our other coworkers about them for those tired of Mcdonalds. I usually tip 20% for good service, but definitely will not tip for bad service. If they had better service for takeout, my food did not spill all the time, if they went out their way for anything, were courteous, of course I would tip. But we are paying full price, we order in advance, we are picking it up at the front desk, they don't have to do anything but hand it over, and they are not cheap, and when we go to eat its all over the place in the bag. We ate here on 03/16/2022 and the food quality was sub par. If that wasn’t bad enough we found a maggot in our soup. They are using rotten meat for this dishes. We called them to let them know and they gas lit us and blamed us for the maggot and they couldn’t help us. Ridiculous. Will be disputing with our bank and contacting the health department. Disgusting food and disgusting attitudes. If zero stars was an option this would have it.
I’ve eaten here on multiple occasions and usually enjoyed the food. Yesterday I order the beef stew noodles with spicy soup and found a worm and a half in my leftovers. Upon calling the place to report it they accused me of putting a worm in the food. I would of taken an apology and left it alone because accidents happen. Rude customer service will not be returning.
I went to Orlando to visit my daughter and her husband. I spoke with her on the phone and we decided to meet and have brunch. She recommended Golden lotus. I had never been there but dim sum is one of my favorite things to eat. When I got there at 11:00 a.m. it was empty I was the first one in the restaurant. I sat down and I ordered a few things for my daughter and her husband. About 20 minutes after they got there the food started coming out one dish after the other. Oh my goodness it was so good. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The servers there were so nice. Everything was so clean and tidy. Dish after dish kept coming out and the food was just absolutely delicious. After about 30 minutes the restaurant was filled. Every table was full of people who were enjoying this wonderful food. Yes I spent about $120 for three people and I would do it again quickly. I had a wonderful time my daughter and her husband had a wonderful time. I recommend Golden lotus to anyone who loves fresh dim sum in the morning.
If you like authentic food this is a great place to go however you will have to wait so be patient definitely not a place to be in a hurry at. The food was good and made fresh. We had soup dumplings and crab Rangoons along with the pork buns it was very good we do wish we would have ordered the roasted duck as well after seeing several others with it on their table. Over all our favorite thing was the pork buns but the soup dumplings were just as good. Also be prepared to use chopsticks.
Golden Lotus proved an excellent dining experience. We ordered both on and off menu items. The dim-sum selection was plentiful and all were authentic Hong Kong style tastes.The beef noodles, and Singapore noodles were favorites, although hard to say enough as all entrees proved to be an exciting and successful adventure for my happy guest.The inside dining service was: very prompt, plentifully served portions, hot, and beautifully prepared. Our table was loaded full to the max with steaming hot aithentic Hong Kong style choices.All was delectable to the eyes, and tasted delicious!.i will be back with dinner guests again. I Would not change even one thing!Many thanks!
dont ever come here. most disrespectful owners. we ordered all of our food at the same time. everything came out besides the duck. i thought it was just taking a while to cook so I did not want to rush them. once we finished all of the food besides the duck that hadnt arrived, i asked the worker who sparingly came by our table for an update to let me know how much longer. it was obvious that they had forgotten to make it and she ran to the kitchen and came back and said 5 more minutes. the duck came cold in the center after we got the check. i told them that and the owner came out and said no and started arguing with us saying she cant take it since we tried it and finished all of our other food (food that was eaten and finished before the duck even arrived) there were only two pieces taken. one for my cousin and i and both pieces were cold. how would we have known it was cold without trying. even the piece i bit i spit out for being cold. we ended up paying for it and leaving because i do not feel the need to argue over a late and cold duck. the owner was very clear that she was unwilling to listen and was very rude.
