They close at 9:30, better be there by 5:30 if you want food. Went 2 hours before closing and there was no food. We know not to wait to go to any Caribbean restaurants within an hour of closing, so we made a concerted effort to arrive well before closing. They make no effort to keep food available up to closing time. Not sure why they don’t just close at 6 pm, but I guess that would mean they would stop making food available at 4. Definitely more miss than hit. And the quality and portions have decreased while the prices have increased.
I ordered some curry goat and roti the goat was tender however i could taste the raw curry .The patties were cold and terrible the cocobread dry and tough the sweet pudding tasted like it was frozen then defrosted but was terrible going in the freezer.I have had golden krust in Jamaica and the food was good. I am not saying all the locations are bad Im just saying the food here is just terrible.

Food is very good. Ox tail is expensive, cost has gone up due to Yankees demand of it. It's worth going to the restaurant to order due to daily specials and other tasty stuffs. I called 3x around 1500 and no one answered the phone. Staff was polite and attentive.
Ive ordered from this restaurant twice through ubereats. I'm going to rate each experience fairly, in my opinion. The first time I ordered the j*** chicken with rice and peas, Mac and cheese and a j*** patty and regular patty. The j*** chicken tastes more like just regular grilled chicken rather than j*** seasoned. It comes with a bbq-esque sauce on top of it so it added flavor and made it ok. The rice and peas was good, not pasty, and flavorful and so was the mac. The j*** chicken patty doesnt really have chicken in it; its more like a paste with tiny bits of meat. The beef patty was as they usually are anywhere else, so it was normal and came as expected. They double bag and seal your food with stickers for delivery, so no one can stick their hands in your food..The next day I ordered the curry chicken and white rice. I literally ate a piece of chicken and a scoop of rice which was pasty, and then found a ROACH IN THE RICE. When you order through the apps the meals cost more than they do in the restaurant. I paid over 20 dollars for each meal so I was fairly disappointed and disgusted. I'm still having flashbacks of that moment. Ive never actually been into this restaurant, so I'm not sure how clean it appears, but obviously there needs to be some improvements. As someone who cooks, I think a roach in the food should be obvious, especially in white rice. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how the food tastes if the food is not stored and handled properly, and the restaurants kitchen is not clean, nothing can be trusted. I did take pictures which are available under the photos tab.I called to get a refund, the lady seemed surprised and apologetic in tone, but never actually apologized. I think she was relieved I did not call to scream or cuss them out.Anyways, if you order through the ubereats app, then the restaurant cannot even give you a direct refund. You must file an issue and get it from uber support in 2-3 business days which I am waiting on. Ciao
Went in order the stew peas, was very disappointed it was nothing but pigtail and peas. Also bought a pack of bula they had mold. , the festival was tough and greasy. What happened, used to be very good. Don’t think I will be back. Too much competition to settle for mediocrity.
Was amazed to go in Jamaican style restaurant and not have to wait. Not even for fish. This were ready. They were out of salt fish already just after opening. Staffvwas friendly food was hot. The name goes with the patties crispy melt in your mouth. I have an interest in this golden Krust so much I might want to invest
I was very pleased with the customer service. All of the servers were very pleasant. I've been to several locations within this chain, and none of my customer service experiences were as pleasant.My veggie patty was excellent and flaky as usual. However, the coco bread was not fresh, and I was really looking forward to eating it with my patty. I also ordered a vegetable plate which was exceptional! Keep up the great work here!!! We'll definitely be back.
This Golden Krust location is 40 minutes away from where I stay and it’s my FAVORITE spot!!! I get a small Oxtail with extra gravy on the side with some festival & it is AMAZING. Diana is also an amazing worker and is super sweet and nice! Thank you so much for the excellent food! I will definitely be telling my friends and family about this location!
