Great place, modern and clean. Really friendly and helpful staff. Went for the Tachos and classic grilled cheese sandwich and they were great. Would highly recommend this place for a bite to eat and so relaxing drinks. Great atmosphere.
Just loved it. My girls took me for my birthday. I remember for years this was Brian's Restaurant and now it's Gnarly Barley the food was great and a fun place to go.
Food tasted good but my sandwich was a tiny bit on the dry side. I'm definitely going to visit again and hoping it was a random deal. Servers were friendly and I got a great welcome. Parking is hard to find on the weekends so plan ahead.
Both sandwiches were yummy and so were the waffle fries, the chicken sandwich was just the right amount of spicy. Everything was reasonably priced as well. Also, I like the fact that the menu isn’t too large, so you won’t have too much trouble selecting a meal. I would definitely like to come back and try some other sandwiches!
This place was recommended to us as we stumbled along orange avenue looking for some food after spending a long day at the hospital up the street. Staff was super friendly, food was delish and fast, and overall the vibe was fun. My order was complicated as I was fighting off my pregnancy nausea and the orders came out perfectly. Would recommend for a quick and causal bite! Thanks gnarly barley.
We stopped in to get a sandwich to take to a friend in Advent Health and took some sandwiches home. The sandwiches were great and the service at the bar was friendly and quick. She brought us water while we waited and was very attentive to our special requests on the order. Just loved this place!
I went to the new location with excitement and left disappointed. I use to love the food, the home feel, the Chalkboard of beers and boardgames to play with your friends. Unfortunately it was not the same at all. The new location is bigger, has good loaded fries.
Great drinks and apps! But the food is terrible we got the brisket sandwich and the meat was so dehydrated and dry, lacked serious flavor. The food is not worth it at all. Definitely a great hangout spot for drinks though. Service wasn’t that great either.
I’ve been going to this place for years now, amazing staff, great food and great drinks. The new location is so much bigger and still maintains one of the best vibes!
OMG! I am a guy and never thought I’d start a review, or sentence, with that acronym, but this place deserves! You could order anything here and want to come back. I got the brisket sandwich and it did not disappoint. Service was amazing, people were nice, environment was cheerful, and is just a great hangout spot. The true show of the star was the cheese curds however, even though it’s an app! The flavor, crunch, softness, and guilty pleasure will make you put your hand back in the basket for another to dip it in the wonderful ranch. Truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
