Cozy spot with friendly service tucked away in Lake Eola Heights. I work a few blocks away and love popping over to pick up a bagel or a sandwich on my lunch break. Even though the menu is large, everything I’ve ever tried is excellent. I’m especially impressed with the espresso drinks, which are better than what you can find at most of the dedicated coffee shops around the area.I hope to stop by for brunch some weekend, because the atmosphere is so uniquely relaxing. The large patio seems like a great spot to chill and people watch. Parking is only available on the street, but I’ve never had an issue finding a spot close by.
Have come to this place a few times already for Lunch, its nice little spot in Lake Eola historic neighborhood. Overall the just a good spot to go to if you want a good delicious sandwich. Have gotten different items and always satisfied with my lunch.
Quaint neighborhood eatery, a few blocks north of Lake Eola. Name is deceiving, not a general store - lots of wine and cheese choices. If you're in a hurry, don't eat here, 30 min wait once we placed our order. Sandwich was bland and croissant stale. Overpriced. Limited seating. I guess if I was local and just wanted to get out of the house, I'd come here. Otherwise, don't bother, advertising makes it look like more than it is.
Was not fond of the bagels. No flavor. I had an everything bagel with butter. Also ordered a everything bagel with egg and cheese. They had no ketchup. People were very friendly. Food not so good. Sorry. Just a girl from Jersey looking for good bagels.
In general this business is amazing. Until it isn't. Today I went to get dinner while walking my dog and ordered the nova lox. I walked back home, sat down to eat and to my surprise THE MAIN INGREDIENT the nova lox salmon was missing. This is my SECOND bad experience with this location THIS WEEK. 4 days ago i went in again while walking my dog on lunch break so I figured why not grab some lunch. All I asked the cashier to do was to wrap my sandwich in parchment paper so I can throw it in my bag while I head back to work and not have to worry about the sandwich falling apart on me. The cashier looked at me like I had 3 heads and was REFUSING to wrap my sandwich which I did not think was a extravagant request. She asked me 3 times back to back if I wanted the sandwich or not which I found weird and I explained I did, I simply wanted it wrapped. After MUCH ATTITUDE and side eye as she looked at one of her coworkers who I believe is the manager the kitchen made the food. Her manager then proceeded to step into the kitchen to hand me my food and also give me attitude when she gave me my order as I asked if everything was in the one small bag they handed me. I truly don't know what the issue is especially when I'm willing to order at $14 bagel AND I always leave a tip. I personally am a Hispanic male and to be frank I feel like I am being racially profiled and targeted because this is a predominantly white neighborhood. I completely understand that it is a small business however you should treat ALL OF YOUR PATRONS the same especially when they are willing to pay inflated prices AND TIP.I still ate the bagel because it was my dinner HOWEVER it is unacceptable that THE MAIN INGREDIENT in your food is missing.I will be returning tomorrow to see if I can at least get a nova lox WITH THE SALMON IN IT as a replacement for tonight.I will post again over my experience tomorrow to see if the business will at least have the common decency to replace my food.
I kept hearing about this place from lots of people, and I finally walked over to try them out.I love their book post outside where you can trade books. They have a nice open seating area, and some seating inside. Vegan options is a plus, not to mention their wide variety of drinks from tea to wine. I went simple this time with just a bagel, because I’m quite particular about my bagels.Let me tell you, the bagels are so soft. Did not disappoint. I added the garlic + chive spread. It had real garlic pieces, not just garlic powder like some spreads.I saw on the menu there was charcuterie boards as well, priced fair.Highly recommended to me, now highly recommending to you.- The Tiny Icon.
Awesome corner spot with a great ambiance and awesome wine , beer and cheese selection as well as sandwiches and bagels. They’re very pet friendly and people friendly and can’t wait to come back an visit!
My friends and I meet here every Wednesday for our weekly bike ride and then end here for a drink. They have delicious sandwiches, snacks, desserts, and unique drinks. I personally LOVE their sangria; it's always my go-to. ?
Most adorable, quaint spot tucked away in downtown Orlando! Foodies delight
Just had the best time at Eola General! The staff was incredibly nice and helpful with our first time here. The sunrise bagel was the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had! 1000/10 would come again!
