The food didnât meet our expectations as a highly recommended place to eat by a friend. The beef bao bun and wontons were good. My husband and I both got sick after eating here.

Took us a while to get seated for some reason even with a reservation. We requested the sushi bar and we were the first couple there, so not sure of the wait. Food was good as usual. Service was ok, guy seemed nice, but we got the impression that he didnât want to be there. Our waitress last time was amazing and very enthusiastic so she set the bar very high. Exceptional service completely enhances the entire dining experience.
Surprisingly, the quality of the food has slipped a bit in recent months. The sushi rolls were far more rice and fixings than they were fish this time, and it really caught me by surprise. And the time it takes between ordering and dishes hitting the table (in two visits this past month or two) has become painfully longer than it used to be back in the heyday. Our server was somewhat new, and disappeared (as did any other server we could have grabbed on the patio) for FAR too long after our meals arrived. We were out of water at the table for a long time. I'd still recommend Dragonfly over most other sushi in Orlando any day of the week, but what used to be impeccable, high-end food quality and service is now a little bit more like all the rest. Predictable dishes instead of thrillingly different. Dragonfly could use a fresh injection of energy and recommitment to having the best, freshest, most innovative and decadent and CLEAN fresh fish and sushi/sashimi/nigiri around.
We had a great dinning experience. Our server was Tung he was amazing. He really knew the menu and was able to answer any questions we had. He has the right amount of table presence and knew just when to check on us throughout the meal. We enjoyed our sushi rolls- black and blue, shrimp tempura, the bomb and big boss
