Wellâ¦I made the reservation months ago, received a confirmation months ago, received a REMINDER text a few days before asking for confirmation that Iâd be there only to make it to my reservation and find out the restaurant was closed. Last year, we had our wedding brunch at the restaurant during the 4th of July and weâre coming back for our wedding anniversary. Last year, the restaurant- we were told- would only be open for our event but was open for business as usual instead. It seems that DoveCote needs to really get it together as their inconsistency really put their loyal customers out. We were not the only ones to show for a reservation to a closed restaurant, did I mention that?
My husband and I partook of the Sunday buffet today and I have to say it was TERRIBLE! The omelet I had from the so called omelet station was overcooked and the cheese was burned. The silver dollar pancakes were extremely large and believe it or not I couldn't even cut the one I got with a steak knife because the bottom was hard as a rock! This buffet was a total joke! The food was sparse and the so called assortment of pastries consisted of one pound cake that tasted like paste! Not to mention the waffles were extremely over cooked and the chicken thighs were absolutely greasy and cold. I wanted to walk out but stayed so I wouldn't cause a scene. Dove Cote is usually extremely busy on a Sunday afternoon ( I had a 12pm reservation) I counted only 5 tables! Probably because you weren't able to order ala carte and only this horrible buffet was offered. Certainly NOT what was advertised! And by the way not worth $45 a person!!! I WON'T be going back and I will alert my friends about this too!
DoveCote is an excellent restaurant. The food was delicious. Our waiter was superb. They didnât have ice tea on hand and they went out of their way to brew me some and it was delicious. Very pretty restaurant and the valet was very good too. Top notch. Highly recommend.
Perfect place for an intimate gathering or date night! The staff was extremely helpful and attentive, and the food was amazing - especially the smoked eggplant dip and lemon thyme chicken. Make sure to order one of their awesome cocktails!
Pretty empty brunch, $75 for a slow brunch experience without unlimited mimosas isnât the best. You can do much better in downtown Orlando. However we did have a very okay time

What a lovely restaurant! Outstanding service, ambience, and food! Kept seeing ads on Facebook. We were looking for an upscale restaurant near Dr. Phillips-Dovecoat did not disappoint! We will be back as there were so many enticing entrées. Thank you!
This place has lost its talent. So sad.
