I ordered the egg white delight bowl, I added spinach and mushrooms and I am extremely happy with what arrived. I was skeptical when I opened the package as it looked like it would lack flavor but it did not disappoint. One the most delicious healthy breakfasts I’ve had and enjoyed! Yesterday I ordered the overnight oats and had to come back today to try something new. I will be bragging to everyone I know to try this place out, you won’t be disappointed!
Authentic Cuban Flavor in Orlando is non-existent until now. Today I stopped by my neighborhood and had the most awesome Cuban breakfast. The flavor was 100% Cuban and so was the atmosphere. From the moment I walked inside to the moment I left, my experience was over-the-top. I ordered "My Husband's Breakfast" and it came with a typical Palomilla Cuban Style Steak, Congri, Two Eggs cooked the way you like them and real Cuban Toast. Oh my God ... I was in heaven. My favorite cuisine has always been the Cuban one but until now, I have never been able to find true Cuban flavor in Orlando. Well, that all changed for me today and what's even better for me is the fact that they are right around the corner of my house since I live in College Park. If you are in the Orlando area, I 100% recommend this awesome Authentic Cuban Restaurant.September 26, 2021Today I went to Abuelita's Kitchen known on the internet as College Park Cafe. Truthfully, I was very disappointed. I ordered an "Arroz con Pollo" (Chicken & Rice) dish. The Cuban style "Arroz con Pollo" is one that is rich in flavor. The rice tastes like chicken and Cuban seasoning. Well apparently that was not the case today. The rice tasted like plain yellow rice and the chicken lacked its Cuban flavor. This entry today is one entry that is 100% NOT CUBAN. The yellow rice tasted like Puertorican yellow rice. This is the reason that I do restaurant reviews and come to the restaurant in review several times. In addition, my waitress did not even offer to change the plate after I told her. I physically had to tell her that I did not want this awful tasting entry. So, I ordered a Cuban sandwich. Much better but still a disaster. The Cuban sandwich meat was right but the bread was over-toasted and it fell apart on the first bite. Furthermore, the bread that was used was NOT Cuban bread. So sad. Maybe they will correct.April 3, 2022Today was Sunday and the restaurant was packed. I ordered a Steak and Egg breakfast. The steak was so small and extremely hard, not the typical Palomilla Cuban Style Steak. The Cuban bread was also ... well definitely not Cuban. Everything else was fine. I still can not recommend this restaurant although I wish I could.
My family and I had a wonderful and enjoyable breakfast at College Park Cafe. The cafe offered A wide variety of breakfast and lunch items, including vegan options. We all ordered the egg-white delight breakfast bowl with avocado slices. So GOOD! The service was amazing! All around great experience. I can’t wait till my next visit to Orlando.
It's a great experience. The atmosphere is both warm and inviting. The food and service were all outstanding. The staff is incredible and offers excellent advice. Definitely would recommend this place!
I have been going here for around thirteen years as the business has experienced two changes in ownership since. While there has been obvious variation in quality, I have generally enjoyed every meal I ate. Their omelets and biscuits and gravy are delicious. When the cafe became Cuban-owned they had these wonderful Cuban sandwiches as well — the best in town. Great size and taste. Even though it's now a more American traditional diner, I'm sure the sandwiches are still great. The food is usually ready pretty quickly which is awesome. The staff has always been friendly, especially under the most recent ownership.I know some people are disappointed by the transition from a Cuban cafe back to an American one, but change happens and you'd rather they not imitate authentic Cuban food and do it disservice. If you are looking for an alternative Cuban joint, there's one off Lee Road near the Lee Road-Edgewater Drive intersection.
BEST LUNCH AT THE BEST PRICEOne of my favorite spots in College Park.Food is ALWAYS fresh. That's pretty crazy for a café that offers a full menu. I have been there a couple times already and all the staff is super friendly. You have to wait a bit for the entrees, but it's only logical since it is fresh food. Appetizers come out quick tho.The amount of food is also really good. All in all, there is no bad scenario when eating at this cafe if you are looking for a good lunch.Definitely would recommend it for a casual date/meeting since you can talk comfortably and the staff is really polite.
They change the price 40 percent high. New owners , new style take out the old cafe Cuban look of the 60 … something people maybe miss maybe not. In that place was the best Cuban sandwich in the town. Now we need to found other place. To high to paid $15 for a Cuban sandwich maybe is better to eat steak in longhorn the Lunch special there is 2 for $35 with drink and bread. !!! We need to found a Cuban spot in Orlando .
I haven’t been in in over 6 months. The new owners are amazing. Thomas was a delight. Everyone here is great. The food is great. I love to support local businesses, especially ones like this. Will always return again and again.
Barbara, Ramon and all of their staff are darling people! We love frequenting the College Park Cafe. Their menu has everything and more… plus they aren’t cheap about giving you the best experience possible. They do socials, offer specials (like a free mimosa for weekend brunch!), give you portions that are more than enough… And if you go for your birthday, they always find a way to make you feel special.
Delicious food, large portions, great coffee. The cream cheese and guava empanada was SO good!Pictured are the pulled pork quesadilla, Cuban Sandwich, and Medianoche.
