Back in 2007 their food was amazing. Old school patrons would agree… now…. Their food is absolutely disgusting. Bland rice, COLD chicken and BLAND oxtail. I know their management has a high turnover rate. Cooks probably doesn't follow complete measurement protocol. And the Place looks like a complete FIRE HAZARD. If you eat their food now and never been BEFORE you might think it’s delicious.
Good food, odd vibe. Part restaurant, part grocery store, part eat-in establishment. I mean you can sit at the three, maybe four tables strewn around the large place but there are not enough chairs. Little interior design would make this place a 5-star because the food is slap yo maw maw good!
Hands down one of my favorite Jamaican restaraunts in the city. Ive been going here for over 15 years and still love the oxtails and never leave without cocobread. The food is full of flavor.
Carribean use to be so good they fell off with the jerk chicken i waited 10 years to come and visit and I was no happy to with the jerk chicken. Curry was good. The women still have attitudes, but whatever ?
I love the food of course but please try and have more beef patties and coco bread. Other than that the experience was great ?
Went to this restaurant for the first time to get some curry goat and oxtail. And of course 2 beef patti. Being from NYC I miss this food. I will be going back again and again. The food was great and plentiful.

I'm been getting food here for pver 5 years now so you can say I'm a regular. The food is very flavorful and well portioned. I loved it so much I had them cater my wedding last year and everyone ( my caribbean and American friends) loved it. Wish they had kept the express lunch size though.
Customer service needs serious fixing, I ordered Breakfast for the first time and the Grits was seriously watered down, this is my second & last time coming here. I am sitting here now as I write my Review. The first time I came my friend food was cold and they didn't want to refund her money. I will not come back. You don't even get a greeting when you come through the door. It's seems like an attitude central. Sunshine soul food you get a 3 out of 10
I ordered the oxtail ? and had the rum cake as a sweet. That rum cake is where it’s at!! I always believed Colombian rum cake was the best, until I had it here. It was better than great. The oxtail was also very tasty and a good sized portion. The extra $3 for a large is worth the money. Its a real deal size.
