Came here on a 7 hour layover, only 30 mins bus or 15 Uber from MCO airport. Delicious variety of a hot bar and a large menu selection of delicious Cuban food. Staff exceptionally friendly.
Wow! This place is amazing! Food is delicious a lot to choose from, The portions they give you is huge, the atmosphere is a great vibe and welcoming. They also serve beer and sangria the sangria was made fresh. I wish I had taken photos I couldn’t help but to start eating. Definitely coming back!
I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to get sick. My wife and I went there for lunch and we both got sandwiches that had pork. We both got food poisoning. The pork must've been old and rancid. The customer service was good but what does that matter if the food can kill you? If you go there, just be careful and ask when was the food prepared. Good luck.
We stopped here 1st to kick off our family summer vacation, upon landing in Orlando! The food here is amazing and very authentic! The staff was so helpful and the food was prepared quickly, which is everything we needed after a long flight.
I am cuban and I have never had such a sad plate from a restaurant, for that excuse of a breakfast I paid $6.49. I was very close to returning it and just asking for my money back but I was having a good day and wasn’t going to let this ruin it. To top it off I paid three dollars for a cafe con leche and after adding sugar to it I took a very small 6 AM just scorched my whole tongue and mouth, I had never tried a coffee that was so hot, it should come with a warning sign or a lease the waiter should let you know that is lava hot! Very bad experience overall I would not recommend this as a breakfast spot.
Went here to stop in for some coffee but decided to give the place a try. The food was great we had pan con bistec along with the sangria. Nicole was very attentive to our needs. We will definitely be back
Do not order the picadillo! We had not visited Cafe Pinar since COVID and apparently the original Cuban owners sold the restaurant. If they want to offer Cuban dishes they should look up the recipes before attempting to make them. The worse part was it had no flavor.
This is not the place it used to be. With new management, cashier and owner were very rude and food was subpar (e.g., meat was overly salted, avocados were brown, salad was old). Sewage smells were coming from the bathroom. Would not recommend!
Was extremely disappointed by the new ownership. As someone who rarely leaves any reviews, my time here was atrocious and I want to warn others as to what I experienced! To make a long story short, my father and I reached ordered the plain mofongo that comes with a side salad ($12.95). We were asked what meat we wanted and I made it clear we wanted the plain version ( pointed to the plain one) that comes with mixed pork (as stated on the menu). We then ask about our salad and were told to pick one of the options at the salad bar. We asked if we could really get all of the options available because that seemed odd we could get things like ceviche, beets, etc and we were assured we could but could not get sides like the plantains because the menu said salad. So we each choose a different "side" salad, eat them, and then we receive our mofongo with pork on the side and another salad. I asked them not to include mine because I felt bad we had already gotten a salad and didn't want two of them especially when they are just reopening. When the bills comes, we were charged both for the "salads" we were told that came with our meal and the pork because it was not included with the mofongo. The total with tip came to over $60 as we were thinking we were going to pay close to $30 with tip. Normally I would not say anything, but the fact that it was double than what I believed I was going to pay and it happened with two different parts of our order ( 3 if you count that we asked for water and they brought a bottle instead of tap... kinda a dick move given that we live in Florida) suggests this not miscommunication but rather a pattern of behavior by the owner trying to take advantage of the customer. To make it worse, he took advantage of my elderly father who was too kind to say anything about it and when I questioned, I was told it was too bad because we had already tried the food (from the owner) and that he couldn't refund us. I was then encouraged by the owner to leave a review for his new business (very machismo personality, so that fits the profile)...so here I am.I could go on about the lack of menu, internet that doesn't work, bathroom whose septic tank causes the bathroom to reak, lack of cleanliness, etc....but that would just add insult to injury. As someone whose family grew up running a small restaurant, I honestly hate doing things like this, especially because I like to support small businesses, but this type of business/behavior should not be tolerated, ignored, or supported by anyone... to put it simply it is intentional deceit and stubbornness of the owner to own up to what he was doing.
