We've been to better restaurants in property (Disney) but this is my favorite resort so we had to try it.Prices were affordable by Disney standards and service was ok. Amy our server seem a bit tired but did her best and was so sweet and attentive.I have to say I loved the corn bread and I hate corn bread it was delicious, the onion soup wasn't my favorite but my daughter loved it and the cheese fritters we're a new experience for me I liked themThe kids macaroni and cheese was delicious and the mash potatoes not at all.
The menu is pretty lacking here, especially with picky kids. I read good things about the Jambalaya, so I ordered that and it was the worst I've ever had. The shrimp and grits was pretty good. The portions were small for the price. The wait staff was nice, but seemed short staffed.
AMAZING!!! I've seen mixed reviews but honestly this was the best meal we've had on Disney property. Our waiter Al was so sweet and the dinner was hands down incredible! Cannot wait to go back.
Shrimp and grits were tasty, but don't be Hungry, portions are very small. The Chefs platter... well where do I start, the meat was overcooked! Sasuge casing hard and chewy, brisket like beef jerky, and the ribs were dry and not meaty! Was surprised because we have looked forward to coming for awhile! Side dishes, mushy and just yuck. Very disappointed.
We chose to dine at Boatwright's for our first night at Disney World since we were staying at the Port Orleans Riverside Resort and wanted something easy and on resort. We were happy with our experience and surprised by the mediocre/bad reviews. My wife and I both went with the All-You-Care-To-Enjoy Chef's Platter. My wife shared hers with our five-year-old daughter. We all really enjoyed the brisket, smoked sausage, and mac & cheese. The ribs were also good, but had a bit too much BBQ sauce. While my wife's plate was not all-you-can-eat since she was sharing with our daughter, our server was very attentive in asking me if I wanted more of anything on my plate. The staff here was incredibly friendly and our server, Adam, was awesome. Including a coke as well as a sangria, our dinner total was $85 before taxes and gratuity. While we're not sure we would encourage family and friends staying off resort to come here just for dinner, we would recommend Boatwright's if you are staying at the resort and looking for a tasty, filling dinner. We certainly would return to eat here again if we ever stay at Port Orleans Riverside again.
We are at Boatwright’s Saturday night, 4/16/22 I was very excited to try it as we had not eaten here before. We had a reservation for 8:15 pm. We were seated at 8:25. We sat for quite some time before our server came to take our drink orders. We had sat long enough that we were all ready to order our meals and figured it would save her another trip. It took a LONG time for the drinks to arrive and when they did, one of our party did not get her drink, which was not delivered until we asked the waitress for it again. When our meals were delivered, the salmon which was ordered with collard greens as a substitute for seasonal vegetables had coleslaw. One of our party did not receive the all you can eat chef’s platter and they brought two plates of boudin balls when we only ordered one. My husband decided he was not asking for his food and was just going to get something at there food court afterwards. When we finally saw our waitress again, we asked for the missing drink and she said, oh, you didn’t get you food? She brought it a few moments later when the rest of our party was done or near done. The restaurant was not at all crowded nor did it seem short-staffed. Terrible service and over-priced food. Save yourself the time and annoyance and go to the food court, which I’m sure shares the same kitchen
The atmosphere with the boat frame is well appointed. The food is even better than the atmosphere. Great prime rib and the chocolate dessert is outstanding. Portions are plentiful. The service is great also.
This was our first experience checking in via phone. A hostess kindly walked me through the process to help me check in at our reserved time. When we were seated we noticed a code to download a menu. Our server however quickly got us paper menus. Our server, Peter, was one of the nicest, efficient servers we have ever had. This was our first day in WDW and we were worried that it had changed from past visits. Peter made us realize that WDW still hires wonderful people. We both ordered shrimp & grits and it was delicious. A wonderful start to our vacation!
Warm cornbread with honey butter was a great start. Had the boudin balls which were better than expected, really good flavour combination inside. Ordered the platter for myself, brisket and the ribs probably the highlights. Chicken really juicy in the nashville hot chicken.
Solid dining option at Port Orleans Riverside. It's conveniently located off the main lobby. We were able to make reservations a couple of hours ahead of time and the table was ready on time. Service and food was great but the wait seemed a little longer than normal.
