1st visit to this Venezuelan restaurant. Friendly staff, especially the lady who served us even though they don't serviced to tables. Food was fine; we tried cachapas, tequeños and Galac chocolate. Reason I'm giving a 4-star rating is for their restroom, which was not clean.

I didn't give 5 stars because its overpriced af. Almost $5 for ONE empanada. Arepas have gone up too. But it's such good food! Customer service wasn't bad either I'll be back

I ordered a cachapa with cheese and an arepa con carne desmechada (shredded beef). Needless to say I did not get what I ordered. I don’t think cachapa goes well with shredded beef lol. Eh, Should have checked my order before I left. Some of the staff can come across as unfriendly. This was my experience when I call the store to explain the issue with my order. The young lady who answered the phone did offer me a refund but I’m already home, hungry without the food I ordered during rush hour traffic. Sometimes some of the staff say unwelcoming comments amongst each other while you wait for your order. Other times some of the staff appear rushed, annoyed, and flustered. This also occurred while ordering. Hopefully things improve and others have a more pleasant welcoming experience.

Best thing about the place were the tequeños. They were excellent. The arepas were pretty good. This place is nice because it’s open until very late and they serve you pretty quickly for such a small operation. Loved that they had traditional Colombian stuff along with the Venezuelan. Will come back!

Hallacas? My review is for Hallacas only... My family and I are extremely disappointed with the hallacas that we purchased from Arepera La Nueva this year. Well, they cannot even be called "hallacas". Whomever made them is either NOT venezuelan or has NEVER made hallacas, nor seen anyone make them. When opening the hallaca, and every venezuelan knows that this is an almost religious experience, they were falling apart, and looked like a huge "blop" of dough, almost like a tamal or pastel (which is very different than what we make). The traditional "guiso" (beef stew) consisted of what seemed to be a whole, long piece of meat or one boneless rib and a lot... A LOT... of pieces of beef fat. Then the taste... God, even trying to explain what they tasted like is impossible. I have no words. Simple the worse hallacas we have ever tasted. Could not eat them... they all went into the trash :( Wish I could say that at least they tasted good or OK, but the taste was as bad as the look :( I don't understand what happened, this place used to make good hallacas, we ordered from here a few years ago and they were fine. Maybe a change of ownership happened or cook?. If I could, I would give it "0" stars... And trust me, I do not take pleasure in leaving this review. We were very excited to have our traditional venezuelan Christmas dinner, but it was not that at all! Stay away from the hallacas.

I don’t know if they changed their owners but the service is not the same anymore. It’s a hassle just to order. We loved the old staff so much more. So sorry to say. The menu changed and prices have gone up tremendously! You pay more for the frijoles then you do for the rice. The food is still ok but I guess the service is what makes it worse.

Many years ago, I visited Caracas, Venezuela. That’s where I tried my first arepa. Since then, I’ve made arepas at home, but never as good as I remembered having them in Venezuela. Driving back from the Orlando airport, I saw Arepa La Nueva on my right side. I stoped. Went in. And was overjoyed to find that their arepas are just as awesome as the ones I tried long ago. I couldn’t help myself, I also ordered a cachapa with white cheese, with a Frescolita. OMG! So good.

Always a treat when I am able to eat here! I always get the cachapas and they are always delicious and the passion fruit drink is wonderful. I've been eating here for years, and the only reason I put 4 stars, is the cachapas aren't quite as fresh and tasty as they used to be a couple of years ago.

Venezuelan restaurant that offers stuffed arepas and other latin american treats, worth visiting at least once.

It was ok. Food is tasty although the arepas rellenas are small compared to other good places in Orlando, however it is one of the few places that is open after midnight. In the take out order they did not give me napkins.
