The other day I went to The Waffle House on 103rd. Got told they were closed and lied to so they didnt have to serve me. This location, Wow.....walked in was greeted in a timely manner. Found out the MANAGER AT THIS STORE!!!!!!! Took a vacation for 10 days she was gone. She was missed so much so the cashier made it a point to say something. I was so impressed with her effort as a MANAGER. I forgot to mention, she also cooked the best breakfast I have ever had at Waffle House. Not an exaggeration....protein cooked (Perfect temp color and tender!l) Eggs scrambled (light fluffy) hasbrowns (crisp not burnt on one side done, one aide raw). The "typical" WH experience. Is usually 1 of those things are correct. She nailed all of them while being friendly to boot. Miranda (sp?) Thanks I found a waffle house....STORY TIME. The tale of two houses.One on 103rd didnt like cooking didnt like working didnt like me. The one on Blending...meh you'll have a hard time getting rid of me. I'm a keeper. ?. Lol. Ill be seeing ya!
All Star Special. Substitute waffles for biscuits and gravy. Sausage patty. Cheese grits. Best 13.00 dollars you can spend at midnight.Talked to the chef Rico for a while on a Sunday night. Made the dinner feel more like a speak easy.Will visit again.
I used to hate Waffle House because they were always dirty and understaffed. The Orange Park Waffle House is amazing! Their line chefs are always spot in, the food comes out hot and fast, and their servers are the right amount of quirky and sweet. It is clean and the wait is never too long. We come here all the time, I don't see that changing anytime soon.
We walked in and it was busy. My boyfriend and I walked over to the girl cleaning ice underneath one of the tables and he was trying to ask her if she wanted any help. Instead she told him to back up off her and to give her a minute with an extreme attitude. She had her Apple air pods in and was not paying attention. I’m sure she assumed he was just trying to sit down while she was cleaning. (He was not ) he was trying to help!! Next time listen to your customers. Especially when they’re trying to be nice to you. Rudest encounter I’ve experienced all week!
This was our second time visiting. Three ppl on shift- cook and two waitresses. We weren't acknowledged when we walked through door. We sat down in a open booth waited about 5 mins and then we grabbed some menus that were sitting on a rack on side of booth. Waitress (mya, nya can't fully recall...short dark skin and very pretty beady eyes) comes over doesn't greet us immediately says you know what you want? Took our food order and then asked do you want something to drink (who eats a meal with nothing to drink and why is that asked last?) Waitress was less than happy, didn't give any mannerisms back (everytime one of us said thank you she just looked at us with a blank stare no you welcome) I didn't think she talked and was just shy until she was at other end saying thank you, you welcome and do you need anything else. She didn't really engage with us until she handed us check and we gave her a tip and asked for a to go box. Eventually guy with very neat locs comes in and starts helping the cook, which was good because it got crowded fast. Food came out and it was lukewarm even the grits. Maybe bring out the waffle if its done first or bring each playe out as its done or something.
Server was polite and courteous. Cook did a wonderful job. All necessary and asked for extras were in the bag when I arrived home.
The comfort food was awesome !!! Thanks for a good experience with my Pancakes and Waffle..... Good service Too.. Come on in... They will take good care of you......
I'm not big on on waffles but I had them here and they're great my favorite though is that hash browns extra crispy with sausage and gravy on it waffle House on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park I'll tell you what that one the one right by Big lots they got the best service the best friendliness the best food the cooks know how to do it right they don't burn them they crisp them your number one waffle House
Alex our waitress was awesome! Very friendly and nice. Food came out super fast and was yummy as usual our go to for breakfast.
What can you say about Waffle House. It's a culinary stapple for anyvtime of day. Is the food amazing, no, but it does satisfy that breakfast, lunch, dinner or midnight craving, yes!
